Biological Vine Weevil Killer 12sqm

Lots of rhododendrons, azaleas and tiarella in my garden, all loved by vine weevils. Nemasys really does work but sooner or later the evil weevils always come back with the dreaded notches appearing on the leaves. Best to do a treatment at least once a year, preferably twice to really clobber them. Nemasys isn't cheap but it's well worth it to stop the naughty nibblers.

We used this product on our new heuchera border. Having had heucheras in the past and having lost them to vine weevil, we decided to try again in our new garden. All the suppliers we contacted advised use of nematodes. The order arrived even sooner than promised, was easy and fast to use and so far, fingers crossed, we have been successful and the heucheras are thriving. We will be ordering more nematodes in September.

I had found Vine Weevil grubs in my 15 litre pots of strawberries and bought this product to kill them. I put the pots in a heated propagator to keep at 10 degrees and once up to temperature dosed the pots with nematodes following the instructions exactly as on the packet measuring everything accurately. I kept them in the propagator to maintain the temperature. 4 weeks later I decided to check the soil in the pots and to my horror have found many healthy looking grubs. I feel I have wasted my money on both the product and the cost of keeping them warm. Not sure I wish to pay to treat them again but don't want the grubs to hatch into adults and multiply the problem. Lost confidence in nematodes being a solution.After communication with Green Gardener, they were extremely helpful in resolving the problem so I have changed my assessment and have given them four stars because my experience with the nematodes appears to be unusual and the level of service was very high.

Arrived promptly enough but not very effective. I’m afraid it’s back to the chemical next year.

Well the product arrived quickly, and l put it in a plastic bag in the fridge - not too near the Swedish meatballs. Next day l read the instructions, found a trusty stirring stick and some disposable gloves, hunted the garden to find where my husband had put the watering can and then got to work. Well the only issue l would say is that the cellophane lid on the tray of 'toads was impossible to peeloff. Very nice re. my fridge, but not so great now. So l scientifically punctured it with my stirring stick. I used waterbutt water for the 'toads as l thought they would like that. After watering in, with a firm but friendly command of "seek and destroy" l left my new army to quietly get to work. Fingers crossed they obey me...

Nothing to like or dislike just hope it does the job and helps my plant from being constantly eaten

Item arrived quickly, however it has a short shelf life, the instructions are rather confusing, and it does not go as far as suggested, after 2 application I still found live vine weevil lave in my beds and had to manually remove them!
