Piece of cheap plastic and no matter who or what we use there is no ping. It doesn't work.

This product came to me broke. I open the box & the threaded part was in two peaces. So I paid extra to superglue it back to gather. Not a good experience.

We tried this ping tester on several coins, some older silver coins and a non-silver coin. You could clearly hear the bell-like ping with the silver coins, nothing with the non-silver coins. We're not collectors so I don't know how good this tester is compared to others but it does seem to work. No instructions included, the listing mentions using an app, but no app is specified, I guess you have to find one if you want to use one.

Does exactly what I was hoping it would do, doesn't damage the coin to tighten down on it, it's what I was hoping it was. It's not super luxurious or anything, but it's easily good enough, and it's the cheapest option. The little metal hammer thing they give with it is actually one of the magnets they sell elsewhere on here sometimes for nearly as much as this entire package, kinda cool. Don't accidentally dent your new silver maple with it though, those things sure do damage easily. I've been using this a long with a pinging app on my phone, and it's worked out very well.

This is a great way to test a coin for Silver content. You can find apps on the app store that help you by listening to the ping and see if it is in the right hertz range. Easy to use. Love that it comes with a striker that has a magnet so you can easily tell if it is magnetic and not silver.

Not a bad product, but it looks like it was 3D printed by my 13y old in computer class. The magnet it comes with is cool. I would recommend a pocket pinger instead of this. A little more money, well worth it.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this 3D printed crap. The only thing worth anything at all is the little "hammer" magnet. For the magnet!!!. If you do buy this piece of junk. Please do not smack your nice coins with this. It is harder than gold or silver. I tested it with a few cull Morgan's that I didn't mind if it damaged the edge.
