Fantastic Drone!!!
- Easy to set up and get going. - Compact - Intuitive controls, even for children. - Doesn't require the use of a smart phone/app. - Stable flight. - Altitude Hold: Makes flying a breeze - One-Key Return: Ensures safe landing - Good photo quality - Long battery life - Extremely Durable To begin, the carrying case that it comes with, keeps the drone, controller, two batteries, replacement propeller blades, USB charging cable, extra parts, and tools all neat, compact, and protected. The instruction manual is easy to understand and make sense. It's intuitive controls allow even beginners to easily fly around, yet comes with several features that even experienced drivers enjoy. For example, I love that I can switch the speeds. When giving it to my child, I can lower the speed, which allows them to keep it in control. Outside, or when I'm flying it, I turn it up. It can be controlled either via the included remote controller, or with the app / smart phone. I prefer the feel of the controller since it seems to give better tactile feedback, and I use my phone to only control the camera operation. I think it's worth noting that you do NOT need to use a smart phone to fly it if you do not want to. That's fantastic in my opinion. Although not a GPS controlled drone, it handles and tracks surprisingly well. Hovering even in a slight wind is stable. Control can be switched between standard and headless mode. Battery life was impressive as well as the controller range. This drone is extremely durable and seems well-built. I have accidentally crashed it or ran it into things a few times and it barely has a scratch on it. Still works perfectly and I didn't even need to replace the propellers. I'm extremely impressed with the drone's overall performance and quality. It's an outstanding value

Easy to Fly with Solid Camera Features
When I first opened this GPS drone, the packaging was secure and everything was neatly packed, and the drone itself felt lightweight but not flimsy, which was reassuring. I’ve been using it for casual outdoor flights and short photo sessions, and the controls were fairly intuitive after a little practice, with GPS functions like altitude hold and auto return working consistently and helping with safety. The 2K camera produces clear footage for the price, especially in good lighting, and features like Follow Me and Circle Fly added some fun variety without feeling gimmicky. On the plus side, it’s portable enough to take on trips, holds position well in light wind, and the range felt sufficient for open areas, though the app can lag slightly at times and stronger wind affects stability. Overall, it’s been a decent-quality drone for learning and everyday use and based on my experience and what I’ve shared with friends and on social media—it’s a solid option if you want useful features without getting overly technical.

Parents Love Playing as Much as Kids
I bought this drone for my five-year-old on a whim, because Amazon had it featured on one of its deals of the day. I had never used a drone before, but thought it might be useful to have for taking photos when selling a home in the future. Turns out, it is super fun not only for my soon to be six-year-old at this point, but for me as well. It’s an immediate attraction whenever people come over and anyone who’s played with it or seen how it moves and takes footage is immediately impressed. You can’t beat the price point. The video quality is decent, and given how rough our family has been with it, I’m impressed. It hasn’t completely shattered by now. While in the process of honing our droning skills, we’ve had more than a dozen collisions with trees, buildings, and other obstacles. While the plastic legs have broken off at this point, this has not impacted its ability to perform..still consistently zips around as directed with the controller or through the iPhone app I downloaded. You can use either the Manuel controller or your phone to direct. It’s three-dimensional flight path and take pictures from each just as well. There are things they like and don’t like about both options, and probably just need to practice on one or the other more, so that I can Master it. I’ve bought two more of these same drones as birthday presents since purchasing ours…one for an eight-year-old and another for a 10-year-old. Both love them, as to the parents, who have to fight to get their turn out the controls. While my son is young, and we have a blast with ours, I wouldn’t advise letting a child younger than probably 13 run it on their own, for fear of inflicting damage on someone else’s property. I’d also recommend Getting your test flights in over a grassy area without trees, as you’ll likely do a free fall at some point as you get started and don’t want to land nose down on pavement.

Perfect drone for starters
I love this drone! I've gotten some great videos of my roof and other stuff around my house. It can go pretty high up and I don't have any trouble flying it around. The GPS keeps it steady and in place, which is super nice for new drone users. It auto-launches and auto-lands pretty well on its own. When it auto-lands, it lands about 2-3 feet from where it took off. I'd say the quality is decent for what I paid for and what it is. It even came with extra little pillars and propeller guards, which is a nice bonus if you're new. I'd say the battery life is a bit mixed. I don't think it lasts more than about 15-20 minutes per battery, and the remote maybe about 40, so it's just okay. One of the most annoying things is trying to connect everything. The remote and drone connect fine, and once you get the app, it connects to the drone's Wi-Fi, so looking at the cameras isn't hard. The only annoying part is the GPS seems to be tough for me to connect, so it won't auto-launch and hold itself in the air in a certain spot if you don't connect it. I pretty much fight with that every time I start it up. I don't know if it's just my location or what, but for me, connectivity isn't the best. The camera seems pretty decent, no real complaints there. And it comes with a nice carrying case to bring it all around. I'd definitely buy this again as a cheaper drone. It's not hard to fly at all; it's pretty easy for someone who's never flown one, and I haven't had any accidents with it. I feel like I can control it pretty well.

Superb for the price!
The HK55 drone stands out as a versatile, beginner-friendly option that performs reliably in both indoor and outdoor environments. Its brushless motors and GPS-assisted hovering provide a stable flight experience, while creative modes like Follow Me and Gesture Selfie allow for effortless, hands-free filming. The 2K HD camera, which features a 90° electronic adjustment, captures solid perspectives of your adventures. With a weight under 250g, it conveniently bypasses FAA registration requirements, making it an excellent portable companion for hiking or travel. While the 5GHz FPV transmission allows for real-time viewing, video quality can become quite poor as you approach distances around 300 meters. For the best visual results, it is highly recommended to use an SD card rather than relying solely on the phone's stored transmission. Additionally, while the drone is generally robust, its range can become limited when facing strong outdoor winds or navigating around dense structures and complex terrain. Overall, its smart auto-return features and dual-battery flight time make it a dependable choice for those looking to explore aerial photography.

Good basic Drone for 1st time Drone flyer
I'm rating this as a beginners, 1st time user, learning to fly a drone. Comparing this to anything else is unfair. 1st time flyer will make mistakes, crash and generally get frustrated. Practicing slow, small task, easy turns & then add camera use as the navigation becomes intuitive. This might be too advanced for young kids but young teenager wanting to learn should be able to grasp fairly quickly. Battery life on the controller fits the use of 2 batteries in the drone before needing charging. 10-15 minutes of flying per drone battery (+/-) App is okay and allows viewing (nothing fancy). Camera really is pretty good for a basic drone. It's light and wind affects the hovering stability easily. Camera is a clear picture. Once you've mastered this drone you may want to spend more for something more advanced with a longer flight time, or better cameras and more advanced options. Me? I bought this to chase squirrels off my bird feeders which this does very well for the cost. It met my needs and took me about 3 charges to develope the required skill to chase the squirrels and then return for landing & charging. There are blade guards that help keep it intact as you learn. I like it and cost was fair.

Easy to fly, complex app.
Great product, easy to fly. The app is a bit challenging to work through as far as getting the camera up or going from map to camera. As well as the other features. The battery time is very limited. Maybe 15 minutes per and you get two. So not a long time for it to sit powered up while you try to figure things out. Over all not bad. App could be more user friendly.

Great for beginners
Nice drone over all, gets good video footage, good connection, and great for beginners but the batteries don’t last very long probably 20 minutes max
