Loving this new series!
What an amazing author!I felt like I was in the midst of the story myself when Aiden came into the house to give the news to Bess and her mother-in-law Mattie. And Kelly Irvin did a wonderful job at showing how different people deal with bad news. . . and how difficult it can be for those who take longer to get over itBess and Aiden take longer than everyone to deal with their grief. . . Bess can’t see beyond her loss, and Aiden can’t seem to forgive himself for his part in his best friend’s tragic death. Will they ever look toward the future and leave the past behind? This series promises a wonderful look at the different seasons of life. Grab a copy of this first story and don’t forget to have plenty of tissues on hand.Kelly Irvin has written an awesome story! I enjoyed it so much, I couldn’t wait to write the review and pick up the next book in the series to continue reading.

Good story
The story was believable with great sadness and joy. I kept hoping for Aidan and he was rewarded and fulfilled.

Treatment of Sudden Death
Kelly's treatment of a young widow grappling with the issue of a tragic sudden death is remarkable. With warmth and compassion, she captures the unpredictability of grief and the heroine's desperate struggle to cope, all the while giving us a rattlin' good story.

Tragedy strikes unexpectedly.
One minute she's married and expecting, the next she's a widow with no concept of who she is or what she is supposed to do. While Bess tries to cling to her faith and upbringing, she had no idea reality would be so hard. She struggles with all her relationships. Her mother-in-law's scrutiny is probably the hardest to bear.

Facing the Future
Great story of love lost and love gained as one waited for God's timing. We can see how we create our own problems by not trusting in God and going our own way. It can be a intentional or unintentional, as demonstrated in this book.

Unveiled frustration
In life nothing is for certain and the Amish family members in this story find that out by coming face to face with life situations that can happen to any of us in our life journey. A closed society does not necessarily provide immunity.
