Good choice

This set of 2 mats is amazing! I didn't visualize how large 28'x20" was really going to be, but it pretty much covers my whole countertop workspace, which I am so grateful for. No longer will I be rolling my doughs off the edges of my thick cutting board and flopping down onto the counters. No more with the extra flouring of the surface, thus changing the moisture of the dough just to keep it from sticking. I'm so happy with the mats because you can also bake on them (no more than 450 degrees), and they are thick and sturdy enough to use for icing the tops of your cakes. You just spread the icing out on the mat, using the circles guide, then put your cake on top and transfer to a freezer. Once the frosting is chilled enough to be solid, you turn it upside down and peel off the silicone pastry mat. Voila! A perfectly smooth top. I'm very excited about using the mats for pizzas, cinnamon buns, (don't use a knife on the mat though, I think there's fiberglass inside) and pie pastry. The mats are sticky, so they won't budge on your counter. The guides, including a conversion table on the mat, are very helpful and will make life a lot easier in the kitchen. I love how you can put them in the dishwasher, and they either roll up or simply fold for storage. Great product!

Love these mats. Much like my previous one, I love the little shortcuts printed on the mats. I can see sizes for rounds when I'm rolling out fondant or making decor for my cakes. They stay put on my countertops so that is super helpful. I love that they are flexible so they are easily stored and handled. The dark color of the printed tips shows well through my fondant so it is easy to see without lifting my decor. Great for pastries and other kitchen applications.
