A Game-Changer for Young Readers!
I recently purchased the Kindle Paperwhite Kids for my 9-year-old, and it’s been an absolute delight! The 7-inch glare-free display is perfect for reading both indoors and outdoors, and the adjustable warm light ensures comfortable reading at night. The device is waterproof, which is a fantastic feature for kids who love to read by the pool or at the beach. With a battery life that lasts up to 12 weeks, it’s incredibly convenient for long trips without worrying about charging. The included 6-month Amazon Kids+ subscription provides access to a vast library of age-appropriate books and audiobooks, fostering a love for reading. The parental controls are intuitive, allowing me to monitor reading progress, set age filters, and even establish bedtimes through the Parent Dashboard. One of the standout features is the 2-year worry-free guarantee—if the device breaks, Amazon replaces it, no questions asked. The kid-friendly case is both durable and appealing, adding an extra layer of protection.

For the young avid readers, a must have!
Setup, was easy out the box. The color of the kindle protector was as described. The Use by both a 9 year old and 7 year old was simple. They are enjoying the paperwhite e-reader. The access to the kindle library for books is definitely an add for all those who want to reduce the weight of carrying a dozen books in a road trip. You can adjust the font size for larger or smaller for the little one’s eyes. My 9 year old has already read 3 books, finished one in under a day. If you have avid readers and want to reduce the pocket damage this is the way to go! 7 year old has already moved up a whole level in reading because he is enjoying the ease of finding the right book for him in the digital library.

Light and easy to read
This is super amazing. I can’t believe I waited so long to get kindle. My son reads a lot and we borrow about 30 books every month. Kindle saves my time traveling back and forth to the library. Now I get a free Subscription for Amazon kids plus free digital borrow from the library!I worry about his eyes in the beginning so I hesitated. Don’t worry. The font is adjustable so it is eaiser to read than books! 7inch is perfect. I had to return the 6 inch one because it’s a bit small!Overall, get it if you love to read!

One of my favorite products
Love it, easier to read than an iPad, sideloading books is easy with Calibre. Price with promotions is very good, Amazon subsidized price is unbeatable and makes it an easy pick over more expensive options with the same e-ink panel. Battery life is insane, can go weeks and weeks without charging. Kids version case is nice, bought as an adult just for that, but it has AI art on it which was a letdown. Probably just buy the normal version next time. Wish there was more color options but that's minor. Overall easy recommend.

Great for encouraging reading, but not all books are free
I bought this Kindle for my daughter’s 10th birthday, and she absolutely loves it! She spends a lot more time reading。 The Kindle is lightweight, easy to use。We have 6 month free trial of Amazon Kids+, which gives access to a large library of books. However, I was a bit disappointed to find that some of the books she really wanted still had to be purchased separately.Overall, it’s a great device for young readers—just be prepared for some extra costs on top of the subscription.

Perfect for kids reading
Fun Kindle for my daughter. She is in second grade and really starting to read on her own this year. She likes that she can borrow books from the library as soon as she finishes a book without waiting to go to the library. The parental controls help to make sure she doesn't stay up too late at night reading. With physical books, she easilyloses track of time and will stay up way past her bed time reading too finish a book.

A library in my purse
Once upon a time, I hauled around books like a literary mule—hardcovers, paperbacks, one time even a rogue encyclopedia (don’t ask). Then came Kindle, light as a whisper and smarter than it looks. This magical tablet holds more books than my apartment and doesn’t side-eye me when I start five novels and finish none. It remembers my place, doesn’t bend pages, and glows softly like a firefly trapped in a dream.I can highlight poetic sentences at midnight, or buy an embarrassing vampire romance at 2 a.m. without facing a single cashier. It’s like having a polite butler for my reading life—quiet, loyal, and always ready with chapter one.

Love reading again
I bought this for an adult, the case is so cute and soft I had to have it. Not sure how water resistant it actually is as I don’t want to harm it in my testing. Not my first kindle and won’t be my last but this is definitely one of my favorites. The screen is so clear I forgot to set my font and page color the way I usually do when I first set up my kindles. I just loved it right out of the box and it was so easy to set up and get started reading. It weighs almost nothing which is good for keeping my hands from getting tired when holding it. I haven’t really explored too many menus I just downloaded and imported some books and got going. I’ve had a little bit of trouble turning the pages sometimes but that might be the book itself and not the function of the kindle. Sometimes the imported library books freeze on pages so that’s on the book or something I’m doing wrong.Overall it was a great purchase and well worth the money. I got it for the case and the case is very soft and the colors are popping. The kids section was pretty well done I was wondering how that was set up and it was just a smaller library that you give the kid permission to read and they can just go at it and with the subscription they can read more kid friendly books included. I think you can even control that aspect with your phone or computer.Adult or kid as long as they can read they will be able to use and hopefully enjoy this device. Not going to promise a love of reading but when that’s all they can do on this it’s a good screen for a little reader to have
