Quality Product
I read a lot of reviews before deciding on this one and I couldn't be happier. It comes with a thick rubber cover to protect it during storage and a remote control. I'm very impressed with the safety features. When you plug it in a faint light appears. You can then leave the room and use the remote to turn it on. When you turn it on it makes 7 or 8 loud beeps to alert you to leave the room before actually turning on. The beeps get really fast right before it's about to turn on. It then gives one loud beep once it's finished. You have the remote so you can shut it off at any point if you'd like. It also has a motion sensor and it automatically shuts off if it senses any movement. This made me feel a lot better bc I have cats. Obviously I keep the door shut and keep them out, but it's nice to have just for peace of mind. Anyway, I'm very impressed with this product and highly recommend. Also, I'd like to note that it will smell bad in the room after you sanitize. It's just a result of the uv light breaking down the particles. You can Google it for more info. It doesn't mean the unit is emitting ozone. This unit is ozone free. You just have to air out the room for 30min and the smell will be gone.

loud, and don't know if it is working
I wanted to love it, but just not really sure if it is working. There is a smell, and it definitely makes a lot of noise. Other than that, I'm really unsure.

Bed Bug Blaster
After traveling abroad, some "traveler" bed bugs unfortunately made their way to my room and after trying sprays and a mattress sealer, not much seemed to work. UV light can be lethal for bed bug eggs, for young bed bugs, and can lethally dry up and impair adult bugs' ability to find a host. However, you have to make sure to place the UV light at different parts of the room, such as near the bed and near crevices and walls where they might hide. Also, you MUST leave the room when you turn this machine on since it will beep for a couple of seconds and blast the room with UV light--so make sure you don't have any kids or pets and lock the room away from access during the 30 minute to 60-minute sanitizing. I am not a scientist, but I know many luxury hotels use UV cleansing to sanitize their rooms. However, you want to make sure to read all the safety precautions since this is a risky product to misuse. It does have a safety mechanism of shutting off if it detects movement.

Very Fragile Bulbs
This little lamp is cute, and it's easy to use right out of the box. The bulbs are extremely fragile, thin glass, be very careful not to drop lamp or handle bulbs. The remote works GREAT! It works through doors & around corners, which is great, once you become familiar with the lamp and it's settings & functions. I just wanted to do a quick test run, so I put the lamp of the bathroom floor and closed the door. The beeping alarms are extremely loud & annoying, and they are VERY cautious! It is not just one beep, but multiple beeps when you start the light. The motion detector is very sensitive, as there is a small gap under bathroom door, and all it took was my dog walking by the door for the alarm to sound and the light to power off. Be aware, if you have pets, if you are trying to do a room sterilization, keep your pets out of the room of course, but also away from the room or your light will most likely power off. I also noticed that after a few minutes, my dog was going crazy sniffing everything around the bathroom door, (on the outside 0f bathroom). So, I think it's safe to assume that he can definitely smell something going on with the lamp, even if I can't. Honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about that. There is no way to confirm that it does what it is intended to do, which is also a bit frustrating... I'm on the fence about using it again, mainly because of the dog's reaction...

Real UV Light! Easy to Setup. Just be VERY CAREFUL With The Glass Tubes.
This is real, high-intensity UV sanitizer that uses old-school UV bulbs rather than LEDs.While I'm not saying that LED sanitizers are bad, this device is brighter and more intense. That's one of the reasons it comes with a remote (batteries not included) to allow control (and protection) at a distance. The light comes with a rubber cover that slides over the bulb when not in use. KEEP AND USE THIS COVER!The bulbs themselves are like any glass light bulb - they will break if handled roughly.Something else you should do: don't touch the bulbs, whether they're warm or not. Just leave 'em alone.**Personally, I'd keep the entire box. It has a Styrofoam top and bottom that will help protect the lamp from damage.**It's extremely important that you DO NOT let any living creature into the room while the light is running. That includes YOU. The remote can be used to turn the light on and off, and to set a timer (in 15 minute increments, depending on the size of the room). Skin burns and/or blindness can occur with exposure to active UV light bulbs or LEDs.

UV sanitizer is more than a toy
Obviously, I can’t confirm that germs disappeared from surfaces and the air, but can confirm that it operates mechanically and electrically as described. The design looks very good and there’s no reason for me to doubt its efficacy. This is a solidly built piece of equipment for applications bigger than consumer level bedroom applications.Note that the UV tubes are located within an open frame, so their output is effective in all directions. The included remote control allows installation just about anywhere, since physically contacting the device isn’t necessary.

Seems good
Set up and operation are easy and straightforward. Just be sure to leave the room while it's working. Hard to know if it's actually killing germs, but trusting that it does.

Cool device
This thing is pretty cool - I put it in my bathroom in the hopes that it will keep things germ free. I like that it automatically senses movement and shuts off to prevent damage. The remote did not come with batteries.
