Perfect for testing automotive stuff!
I buy a lot of 12V items for my car - lights, horns, etc etc and am also regularly needing to test whether things on my car work properly or not. This has just made the job a whole lot easier.Within minutes I had the unit set up and had tested, two horn units, a twin unit air horn, some trailer lights, and my headlight bulbs.Adjustable voltage and amps and although I will mainly be testing 12V stuff, I am sure that I will find multiple uses to test products with other power requirements.A very useful tool for anyone who does more than the odd bit of DC electrical work.

easy to set up and use
This power supply unit is a versatile and efficient tool for anyone who frequently works with DC electronics. It offers both adjustable voltage and current settings, allowing precise control for a variety of testing needs, from 12V applications to devices with other voltage requirements. Setup is straightforward, and within minutes, I was able to test several automotive components, including horns, trailer lights, and headlight bulbs. The unit’s controls are smooth and intuitive, making it easy to dial in the exact power settings required. It’s an excellent fit for tasks like electroplating or powering specific devices with a particular wattage or amperage, providing stable and reliable performance. For hobbyists and professionals alike, this power supply is highly recommended.

A bit fiddly to use but works well
I found this a bit fiddly to use, but I suppose it was due to a lack of instruction manual! It was supposed to contain one but alas I didn't receive one. I did eventually manage to get it to work after lots of trial and error (and twisting the voltage knob for what seemed like an eternity, not realising I could push it in!!)It works really well, I've been using mine to test various motors etc. I will also admit that I've also deliberately fried a motor or two using it because, why not! Boys will be boys!! Works well and I'll definitely get a lot of use out of it.Although it states the maximum voltage as 30V, I've actually managed to get 31V out of mine (or at least that's what the screen is telling me) so I'm not sure if that's rounded down or if mine is just false reporting. Overall though I'd highly recommend and would likely buy a more powerful model if one became available!

easy to understand
This product comes in a cardboard box, and inside the box, you’ll find the product, a power lead, output and input power cords, and an instruction manual. As of reviewing, this product is priced at £43.99 - I think this is reasonable.I like that the size of the power supply is small, and the big clear display gives you precise control over the voltage and current, which helps test your electronic devices. It works well and is good value for money. It helps test your new devices' power draw.I recommend this product.

Works fine but two main limitations
Being an electronics engineer, I can't have enough bench power supplies, so I was delighted to have the opportunity to test this one.The unit is compact and comes with a mains lead and a basic output connection cable.First impressions - this is a very nice and compact power supply.Second impressions - WHY is the fan on all the time? On most of my other power supplies, the fan is only activated when the output power is above a certain level. With this one, it's on all the time, which is rather annoying, considering that there must be software inside making all the other functions work.Third impressions - It works fine, but lacks an output on/off switch. This is a very important feature for a bench supply, as it allows you to quickly turn off the output if "something bad" happens with your connected equipment. With this one, you can't be 100% sure what happens when you switch off the INPUT switch. Will the output voltage flail around? Who knows. So yes that's a limitation. Also, the output voltage control is rather clunky - it's possible to accidentally change the output voltage by a large amount unless you are very careful with the control knobs. I almost prefer the good old days where a control knob (analogue) could vary the output over the 0-30V range with a single turn - at least you got used to it and knew to be very careful if adjusting it. With this one, clicking the rotary encoder can easily get you to the mode where the voltage changes in 10V steps, so be very careful to avoid damaging connected equipment! The power is limited to about 150W as expected, i.e. you can't select 30V and 10A output current limit at the same time.Overall ... I'm deducting 2 stars for those two annoying features. However as a basic bench PSU it will do the job, as long as you are very careful.
