Need For Speed Underground 2 (PC CD)

Need for speed underground 2 is one of the best need for speed games you can currently buy, the graphics are great for a game that came out in 2004 and as a result you dont need a monster spec pc to play it on, the game looked great with my 64mb intel graphics card! the driving in need for speed is more arcade than realistic but as it is a racing game you can expect that, the game only happens around night time and there are no police to apprehend you for your mischief! you can customise your car/cars loads of different ways theres body shops, graphics shops and of course performance shops throughout bay view city so if you want a fun game at a cheap price, need for speed underground 2 is the game for you. It was brilliant when it came out 7 years ago and to this day its easily one of the best need for speeds out there. 5 stars highly recommend. :)

I've revised my rating to three stars as I can get some fun out of it using the keyboard, but I do find it a pain. My Thrustmaster 458 Italia wheel just isn't detected (I have to unplug it or even the keyboard doesn't work!). I've searched the net for a solution, but found none. Perhaps this game is just too old for Win 7. I had to use compatibility mode to run it. I recommend NFS Shift 2 Unleashed and NFS The Run.

I bought this only recently having played the first game to death on a PS2 a few years ago. I thought I would try out the sequel and surely enough its really good fun. Lots of scope to mod the car of your choice then thrash it around an open-play environment. But be warned this game will steal your time! I have lost hours without even noticing sat in my home office playing NFS Underground2. I use the XBox wireless controller and it works really well, so maybe consider getting one if you are going to buy this game.

I bought this in 2012 but did not try to install it until Feb 2015 (too many irons in the fire). It would not install under either XP or Win 7. The problem file appears to be SDATA\sd. Even tried to copy files from disk to HD to try it from there, but the problem was the file SDATA\sd. I can only assume that the disk is faulty. If you still fancy the game, install and run it within a better time frame.

I now have both the original and this second instalment and while the first one is a great game, it pales in comparison to this. The main thing which has been vastly improved is the freedom to explore an entire city while not on the racing circuit. Visit body shops, graphic shops, car speciality shops and upgrade your car. Go search for all types of racing, from drift to U.R.L and hook up with various sponsors as you build up your reputation. With more cars to choose from (including more European and American manufacturers) this game is almost limitless in it's playability when you take into account the amount of modifications you can do to your car. While I found the non-Underground Need for Speeds to be entertaining for a short while, they never really lasted beyond a few weeks. EA have hit the nail right on the head with these. I just hope that NFS: Most Wanted will go down a similar route.

I played the NFS-UG version 1 quite a lot. Kept coming back to it. After becoming the underground leader in all categories, I tried the free run bit to try to beat my own speed records and amused myself, trying out the various cars and models. Amazing how each car is completely different in handling and speed. So, expectantly I bought this second installment ... loaded it, raced once ... and that was it ... thoroughly unimpressed. Everything was so much better and fun in the original. I'd say not recommended...

I enjoyed this game in 2--4 and I still enjoy the game. It would be nice if the game got a HD remake though with better sounds , HD Textures , 21:9 screen support and some of the visual upgrades don't look nice. Other than that it runs perfectly in windows 10 for me.
