SR-71 Black Bird
I liked how easy it was to build. I disliked the way some of the parts would go together, and was missing the tail cone!

Get it..you'll have fun building it and it'll look cool on your wall shelf.
I thoroughly enjoyed building this jet. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Although it is intended for 8-14 year olds, as an adult, I found it equally enjoyable. The quality is excellent, and it measures approximately one and a half feet in length, making it quite substantial. It would look impressive on display. The twenty-seven-dollar price is well worth it, as the enjoyment derived from building it alone justifies the cost. It is a five-star find.

Good quality lego type plane kit
This is for "SR-71 Fighter Jet Building- Compatible with Lego Plane, Set, Military Fighter Plane Jet Suitable for 8-14 Years Old Children and Adults as Gifts (183 PCS)"Price at review time: $23.99Box is 15 3/4" L x 9 7/8" W x 3 1/2" H, which is about 1/3 longer than it needs to be to hold the five bags of parts. Manual is 10 1/4" x 7 1/2". Of the five bags of parts, two are parts on trees, requiring cutting off with hobby knife or wire clippers (not included). Master parts list at last page of manual. Some of the isometric pictures are hard to follow at first glance. Assembly is pretty quick, two hours or less. Landing gear is fixed into place. Stickers can be added either during assembly or after assembly is complete.Finished dimensions: 17 3/8" L x 9" W (wingspan) x 4" H (tail)

More basic than it looks.
Good build, good size, but it's mostly larger plates and preformed plates stuck together to make the final result. There's no particular intricacy, there's no moving parts aside from the wheels rolling, and the cones on the engines have a bad habit of falling off if you look at them just wrong.Altogether though, one of my favorite planes, so building it in blocks like this was entertaining for that purpose alone at least. There are some parts of this that are confusing though. The top of the wings is built with a combination of smooth and pegged pieces. There's nothing to attach to them, so wouldn't it just be better to make them all smooth pieces?

Deemed "absolutely amazing" by my 9-year old son!
My boys really enjoyed putting this set together. The instructions were easy to follow, and the pieces fit together well. There was one missing piece (and a couple extra other pieces), but since these are compatible with LEGO, my son was able to grab one from his collection, and it was not an issue. The wheels were a little hard to put together, but they weren't too bad. We were able to complete this set in about an hour. The boys said the only thing that would have made it better was if it had come with some mini-figures.

Gentle hands needed
Was excited to be able to put together with my son, instructions are a little vague, it is easy to fall apart, if your get this, build and display, and hope that you never have to touch again.

Missing and melted parts
There is a melted part and one of the engine pieces is missing. Attached picture. Disappointment to my son after spending time and effort to assemble it. Unfortunately the airplane can not be completed.

Fun plane brick building set
I love the SR-71 design of this set. The directions are easy to follow and assembled. They're similar in quality and durability of major brands, and the price is about right for the size and design of the build. I recommend this for anyone who likes planes or for kids who are good with slightly advanced brick building sets
