Learn from my mistakes!
Let me start off by saying I'm pretty new to the hair coloring game. I started off at the salon; I've been bleaching my hair blonde for a couple of years now. Usually, my colorist does a variation of the same thing -highlights and/or single process. When I went, this time, I was feeling a bit bored with that routine. During the consultation, I mentioned that to her, and we talked about going lavender, which was something we've been talking about on and off for a while. I decided to go for it! She used a combo of Manic Panic's Purple Haze, conditioner, blue toner, and hairdresser wizardry. She did my hair, and it looked freaking amazing, like some sort of mermaid princess. It was awesome!!! But then.... I washed it! It immediately faded into some blah pinky purple nondescript gross color. So I figured I'd go to Sally's, buy some dye, and touch it up at home. I went, asked an extremely unhelpful employee for some advice. I bought more Purple Haze, some conditioner, mixing bowl and a color brush. I also got another purple color; I forget the exact brand, but it involves argan oil. I got home, mixed up the color and put it on (much harder process than it looks at the salon). I left it in for 20 minutes; THAT'S IT! Rinsed it, and my hair was a DEEP magenta purple color with red undertones. WHOA! I messaged my colorist and asked her to please forgive me and to tell me what I did wrong. She forgave me and explained that I didn't put enough conditioner in and that the color in the bowl is approximately what the color on my head will end up being. I grew to kind of like the magenta, so I didn't do anything immediately and tried the other argan oil dye with pretty much the same results. Then that started to fade as well, turning to the same patchy pink/purple mess. So, I went on Amazon and bought Manic Panic Mixer/Pastel-izer and Manic Panic Amplified Hair Color in Ultra Violet. I wasn't messing around anymore; I wanted to make sure I got the true purple pastel that I was looking for. I mixed those up with the advice my colorist had given me in mind. I left it on for approximately half an hour and then rinsed the color out and shampooed and conditioned. The new color was great, definitely the bluer toned cool purple I was interested in/going for. The Manic Panic Pastel-izer did exactly what it was supposed to do. That being said, I feel that conditioner does the exact same thing and is probably a better bang for your buck. If you have the money to spend, buy the Pastel-izer, but if you don't, I wouldn't worry about it at all. Probably unnecessary but nice to have. Hope that long story helps - haha. Let me know if you have any questions about Manic Panic dyes since I've done quite a bit of research when I was trying to figure out how to keep my hair purple. '

Works like it says!
Mixed beautifully with a little true blue to create a pastel baby blue on bleached white hair. Excellent results! Used one whole tub with just about 2 oz of the blue - perfect! Lasted about a month and gradually faded after another month. Did same again with cotton candy with good results.

Pastelizer makes great, subdued colors
This pastelizer is wonderful! My ultimate goal is pastel purple. I have medium to dark mousy brown hair, I did a round of bleach using balayage technique and got to an orangey yellow but decided to wait a few weeks before I lift the rest of my natural color. In the mean time, I toned (manic panic virgin snow) which helped a little with the brassiness, then mixed a whole jar of pastelizer with about 4 tbsp of manic panic purple haze and it came out this beautiful pinky purple. I might stop here because I love it so much

Order 2 If You Have Long Hair
Great product, but I wish it came in a large size since you need to use so much more Pastelizer than dye. I use about 3:1 for most shades. If you have long hair, order two.

really makes the dye pastel, doesn't last very long at all
first thing I have pretty light ombre hair. I mixed it with their cotton candy pink and has AMAZING results (i have included a picture) while the dye worked I had to do it twice once with the recommended time (did not work at all and washed out in a day!) but the second time I left it in for 3 hours and it worked amazingly. the problem I had is my hair isn't as light as it could be so its already fading a bit in my 6-7 part of my ombre but is clinging heavily to the 9-10 lightened tips. it makes a really pretty sunset effect. it did work really well to make the dye pastel but make SURE that you basically use a whole jar of the pastelizer and a tiny tiny bit of the dye you're trying to make pastel. basically this dye is a nice change of pace but its not a long term ideal. it was fun for the few DAYS and now a week later its still pretty fun, but it has hardly lasted even with cold water rinses washing only every other day and using no sulfate shampoo. I know all my friends have used manic panic and had really good things to say but this isn't for me im not high on upkeep and this would take a lot of time redying and so forth every week or two weeks tops. Its a good idea if you want to try different shades and see if something works for you. I will say if you have damaged hair (like I do from bad over processing with bleach) its a nice way to get you kicks and the dye itself is VERY moisturizing.

Turn out beautiful!
The pastel worked great. It took the cotton candy manic to a beautiful pastel pink. Unfortunately, it didn't even last 2 weeks. I used the colored hair products and took cold showers but it didn't last. Im not sure if it was the color or the pastel that made it fade but it was very disappointing. The shipping was fast and I would recommend using this seller.

It was probably user error but it did not work for my hair.
It did not work but I think that the reason it did not work was user error. I will say that the instructions that come with the product are impossible for me to read. I wish I had thought to find the website that makes me think it was my fault for the failure of my lavender dye job before I charged ahead and tried it, For that reason I will give it another try at a later date.

Zu mischen super geeignet

This stuff seems to do the same thing as dilluting the color density with conditioners... it doesnt lighten the actual die at all. Save your $ and use a drug store conditioning mask or regular conditioner of any kind to dillute the die and achieve very simillar results

I mixed this with a tiny bit of blue to give my hair a gradient look. Works pretty well but remember, start with a tiny amount of colour.
