Great car tv, but some annoying things…
I got this to use in the car, and also in my workout room to play YouTube videos, and also for our camper, which does not have a television. I have an iPad, so I do find this to be a bit redundant. However, having this mounted keeps my neck from constantly being bent down, which just doesn’t seem healthy. This is strong and heavy duty and easy to use. The picture is bright, clear, and beautiful. The sound level is good. The mirroring is really awesome! What I don’t like is that there are no instructions included besides installation into a vehicle. It is difficult to adjust what your starting screen looks like, and none of the included apps can be deleted or moved, which I really don’t like! I like to be able to customize my screen. As it is, I have to scroll through to find the apps I want to use. A users manual would have been great to have with this. I have never used an android, only an iPhone, so that has probably made it even more difficult to figure out. One thing that was really strange about this, is that it came with the back not attached, and the screws thrown randomly all over in the box. I’m surprised it did not break when I pulled it out of the box. Having it arrive in this state, and also with no instructions, this item is not giftable. Perhaps the longer I use this the more fond I will grow of it. But after just a couple of weeks, I so far cannot give it more than a 4 star rating.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!!
Clearly FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!! Netflix is no longer supported on the device (after we signed in) and we get a blue screen that freezes when trying to use Disney +. I already installed it and now have to uninstall it to return it. Such a waste of money!! DO NOT BUY.

Amazing tablet
The Tiusone 13.1-inch Android 13 Multi-Functional Car TV Headrest Monitor is an impressive, feature-packed entertainment system designed for backseat passengers. With its 1920 x 1200 QLED touch screen, the display offers vibrant colors and sharp visuals, making it ideal for long road trips or daily commutes. The screen size is large enough to provide a comfortable viewing experience, yet it fits neatly on the back of most vehicle headrests, enhancing the in-car entertainment setup without being intrusive. One of the standout features of this headrest monitor is the Android 13 operating system, which makes it function almost like a tablet. With 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, the device can handle a variety of tasks, such as streaming videos, browsing the web, or downloading apps from the Google Play Store. The processing power is adequate for most media consumption needs, and the 32GB ROM provides enough space for storing movies, music, or apps, though the option for expandable storage would be a welcome addition for those who prefer offline media. The screen’s QLED technology ensures excellent color accuracy and brightness, making it easy to watch videos in different lighting conditions, whether it’s day or night. The touch responsiveness is smooth and intuitive, allowing users to navigate through menus, apps, or video content with ease. The high resolution also means that videos and images are displayed in crisp detail, which enhances the overall viewing experience. In terms of connectivity, the Tiusone headrest monitor excels. It supports WiFi, which allows passengers to stream content directly from platforms like Netflix, YouTube, or Hulu without the need for additional devices. Bluetooth functionality is also included, making it easy to pair wireless headphones or external speakers for a more immersive audio experience. One particularly useful feature is the Mobile Mirror Link, which allows you to mirror your smartphone’s screen on the monitor, offering a broader range of entertainment options, such as playing mobile games or displaying navigation apps. The monitor also comes equipped with HDMI and RCA ports, which means it can be connected to gaming consoles or other external devices for additional entertainment possibilities. This versatility makes it suitable for families or individuals who want more than just video playback from their car TV system. The HDMI and RCA connections are particularly useful for those who want to use the monitor as part of a larger in-car multimedia system. Installation is straightforward, as it is designed to fit securely onto the back of most car headrests. The monitor stays firmly in place even on bumpy roads, and the screen angle can be adjusted for optimal viewing. The device is powered through the car’s 12V socket, and cables are neatly concealed to avoid clutter in the backseat area. Overall, the Tiusone 13.1-inch Car TV Headrest Monitor delivers an excellent in-car entertainment experience. It combines a high-quality display with versatile connectivity options and an easy-to-use interface, making it a great addition for families, commuters, or anyone who spends long hours on the road. The combination of Android 13, a responsive QLED touch screen, and multiple input options ensures that passengers will stay entertained with a wide range of media options at their fingertips.

Functional(ly limited) in-car display
This is sold as a multi-function headrest monitor, which it does with some limitation and lack of refinement. It also suffers from the chronic terrible documentation disease of many generic products. Positive features: + Nice size and format for the car + Very bright screen + HDMI input + Basic Android functions + Touch screen Negative features: - 12VDC barrel connector. This could be much more practical with USB-C for power and media input. This could also be immensely more useful with even a small battery on board - the tablet immediately shuts off on power loss or interruption, which, given the merely adequate cord length and easily pulled out barrel connector, can happen easily (the cord is about 7ft long, which seems long enough until you snake it down the seat and to the front where your accessory DC port may be). If you want this for kids the back seat, then be prepared for repeated rebooting and startup whenever they kick the cord loose or you shut off the vehicle. - Unrefined design with a lump on the back for the brains instead of a more tablet-like format. - Hard to disconnecg head rest mount. The headrest mount can be turned in a way to make this a tabletop display, which is a nice feature, but mounted in the car, you would have to find the small lock out the mount3 to move the display. So, when the power is inevitably interrupted by a vehicle shutdown or your toddler kicking out the plug, then you need to hop into the back seat with the kids to restart the apps because the attachment keeps you from grabbing the display for use in the front seat. - Android is very basic and does not run some basic apps like Google Calendar - Very clunky and non-intuitive interface. For example, you have to guess that you should swipe from the edge in the AV-IN app to select the media input. The UI has unnecessary decorations such as frames around the icons, making the layout less clean. The icons cannot be moved or the desktop layout modified. - Very slow overall performance, but it does boot quickly, probably because of the very restricted OS. - Very low value given the fact that you can buy a 15in portable external monitor for 1/3 of what this costs. Granted, those displays don't have built-in Android, but the Android OS on here is almost more of a detriment than an advantage. You could also buy a pretty nice Android tablet with a battery for what this costs, although that tablet won't have HDMI input. - Customer support goes to Amazon tech support, who is completely clueless about how to use this tablet (of course their first advice was telling me to plug the tablet into a different power outlet). I did eventually get prompt service from the seller, but not through technical support. - Dear manufacturers: If you don't make good documentation or an incredibly intuitive interface, then you must just accept that fact that people will get frustrated with your products. Given the promising specs and features of this monitor, I had some high hopes and usage ideas beyond the in-car display. As an in-car display, it's OK. As an Android device, it's poor. There are certainly some workarounds that could make things better, like a USB-C to 12VDC adapter or a different mount, but rating as delivered is only fair. If this cost 100 bucks, then I could live with more rough edges, but it costs more than 3x that, so I expected something more elegant. If you want an in-car external display, then just buy a much cheaper portable display. If you want an Android tablet, then just buy one of those.

Backseat Entertainment Elevated: A Versatile Headrest Screen
This headrest-mounted entertainment device is a game-changer for long car rides. It essentially turns the backseat into a mini theater, allowing passengers to watch TV or stream content via screen mirroring or its built-in Android system. With access to the Play Store, you can download apps like Disney+, Netflix, Hulu, or Apple TV, making the options nearly endless. The built-in system handles streaming and light browsing well, though its quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM mean it’s not ideal for demanding tasks like gaming. One of the coolest features is the ability to hook up a console if you have a car inverter. On long road trips, we connected a PlayStation 5, and the kids were able to play games in the backseat—how cool is that? Alternatively, if you’re not a fan of the Android system, you can connect devices like a Roku or Amazon Fire TV Stick for even more flexibility. The installation process was straightforward, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the screen. The 13-inch QLED display with a 1920x1200 resolution delivers vibrant colors and impressive brightness, especially for its price point. Overall, it’s a well-built device that has made road trips much more enjoyable for my kids.

Helps with long car trips. But overpriced.
The best thing about this is that I have successfully trained my husband to use it, and I get to drive in peace on long car trips now. I agree with the reviewers who say that the hardware is overpriced for what it is. BUT— it’s fairly simple to use, and now that it’s in place in our road trip car, it’s not coming out until it’s dead because it’s made a huge difference in the stress level within our car on road trips. When he gets bored with the novelty of watching movies on a decent sized screen in the car, I’ll set him up a game console. I’d say ours is the scenario that this thing fits best— someone who can be trained but isn’t particularly tech friendly may like this a lot. He does.
