The size was the first thing that caught my attention. It must be close to 3 ft. in diameter! The second thing that got my attention was the colour: cobalt blue! This is my favorite colour and San Diego hats was the only one to offer a large sunhat in this colour. I have the typical redhead complexion: 15 minutes in the sun and my skin already starts to turn pink and I often forget sunglasses so it is essential to have a large wide brimmed hat to nelp protect my skin and eyes. The crown is also adjustable as I often wear fabric headbands but not always so this is important. The hat is not too heavy, not too light, just very comfortable and so far, it has not blown off my head in a light breeze. This sunhat is so versatile, it can be worn with t-shirts and shorts and it goes well with dress clothes. I absolutely love this hat😍😍!

The hat was large brim to brim but can be fitted to stay in place. The quality is great. I bought it to decorate for a derby Day hat but will use it as sun protection hat at the beach afterwards. It was perfect.

This hat is extra large, seriously extra. If you are brave enough to be that woman wearing it out then you're my people :) Wonderful quality. I'm going to order another one in a different color.

Gorgeously huge hat, if you can rock it!Quality:This hat is very sturdy and made with good quality. It is very big making it awkward to pack for vacation. It does slightly fold/wrap and unfolds nicely without damaging the brim. I didn’t try pressing it flat and putting it a suitcase for fear I would snap the spine in the brim. Nonetheless, it made it to Mexico and back in my carryon bag with no problem.Size/fit:This is why I gave it 4/5 stars. I have an abnormally huge head circumference. So, while it did squeeze my head a bit, I’m used to that with hats. However, I wish this hat had just a little stretch. I know that’s not typical in woven hats, but it would have been nice. If you have an average size head, it should fit perfectly or even a little big.Sun protection:It definitely blocks the sun. The brim is huge and bendable. So, you can position it however you need to block the sun. I will say, I got EXTREMELY HOT while wearing it. This could be because it is black or the material is made from. However, I think it’s due to my abnormally big head and how it holds heat easily. In the full sun I couldn’t stand the heat, but when I wore it on a partially sunny day it wasn’t bad at all.Look:This is a very glamorous hat. With the right outfit and shades you may feel like a celebrity. It’s definitely a head turner. So wear it with confidence!

This hat is perfect for us larger headed ladies. The brim also has the right amount of structure so it’s big, but doesn’t flop in your face.

I wanted a Super Duper sun hat to go out into the sun with. I always forget to bring a hat and end up buying a pathetic offering from the resort I am in, usually after I have burnt myself to a crisp on the first day.I have very fair skin and burn very quickly, (I don't sunbathe but just catch the sun from walking about, sailing or fishing.) I don't get on very well with suntan lotion, so this time I decided to be pro-active and set out to find the BIGGEST sun hat I could possibly find.I stumbled upon the San Diego Ultrabraid X Large Brim SPF 50 on Amazon.com. I read the reviews and thought, "This is the one for me!" I bought the chocolate option, black, according to one review, makes you look like the Wicked Witch of the West. Although, I think paired with the right wardrobe, you could cut quite a dash... I didn't get the straw colour because I thought it might show marks easily.I ordered my chosen chapeau, it came all the way from good old U.S.A and arrived in England within 2 days. I was very impressed. It came in a huge box which amused the delivery man as he bent his legs and braced himself to pick up what he thought was a very heavy parcel, gave a big 'heave ho' and then nearly threw it over his head and off the back of the delivery lorry because it was so light!Excitedly, I opened my delivery. I love the way that you can create different styles with a tweak of the brim, stylish, sophisticated, coquettish, mysterious...I highly recommend this hat, get it, pick the colour that works for you and your wardrobe, or, pick all three! Look AMAZING and never get burnt again, (hopefully.) Mix it up with big dark sunlasses, think 'Jackie Onassis,' co-ordinate and customise it with a large silk flower, something big with lots of petals, (to keep the correct proportions,) or get a silk or satin wide ribbon/scarf to wrap around the brim. Be flamboyant, think Audrey Hepburn in 'My Fair Lady,' and go monochrome and embelish with ostrich feathers for Ladies Day at Ascot.Alternatively, clip a big sparkley statement brooch,(pin) for a bit of 'bling' or a sparkley necklace for something different, just because you can... Wear for casual, around the pool, or a for a more sophisticated occasion and look different every time. Free your imagination and just express yourself, have fun and at all times, be FABULOUS!

This is great for avoiding a sunburn when out in the sun for hours. My head didn’t get overheated.

I was on the hunt for the biggest sunhat I could find, and this thing doesn't disappoint. The price is definitely worth it; amazing quality. The brim goes past my shoulders for maximum sun protection! Which is exactly what I wanted. :D It's a statement piece, for sure! I love it, I love it, I love it!

Ok tengo que editar mi opinión inicial: El sombrero se ve muy elegante y llamativo. Es enorme. El ala podría ser más rígida, definitivamente. No tiene alambré de metal para darle la forma, que lastima. Medio cae por lo que tengo que batallar un poco para colocarla de tal manera que no me tape la vista. Tarde pero entendimos al final que el moño que tiene arriba es para ajustar el sombrero a la circunferencia de la cabeza. Aunque al ajustarlo se forma una arruga sin embargo no se nota tanto. El nudo del moño con el tiempo se afloja, tendré que fijarlo con algo. Extraño un cordón para amarrarlo por debajo de la barbilla. No lo tiene prediseñado. Además, al sombrero le salían muchos hilos por todos lados y que tuve que cortarlos manualmente.Pero me gustó que tiene factor de protección solar, a simple vista casi no filtra luz solar y es más ligero que unos sombreros similares de otras marcas que he probado en vivo entonces no me va a cansar tanto el cuello en el final del día.

Hat was exactly how I imagined it and massive ! Def a statement peice which is exactly what I was looking for ! Not for the basics :P loved it !

Well-made and HUGE! Better quality than all the other hats I tried from Amazon.
