Sport Nasal Dilators Trial Pack Small & Medium, 76% More Airflow

Dear Mouth Breathers,I can not recommend this product enough for people with enlarged (or narrowed) inferior turbinates, although it is for a somewhat niche market they have absolutely nailed it!I have tried several different nasal dilators: the cage tubes, clips, strips etc. The tube/cage type ones hurt your nose lining and don’t stay in, the strips are fine for general use and sleeping but they are quite wasteful and they come off when you sweat. These ones are right on the money! Comfortable and reusable!Getting them to sit up past your turbinates takes some practice and wiggling to get them situated. They work best for me when pulled towards the tip of the nose but once they are seated you will feel strong like a Viking Warrior!I think the reason for a lot of the negative reviews is people are either using them to try and treat a nasal issue which these aren’t designed for or they aren’t aware of the structure of the nose and are therefore not getting them past the inferior turbinates. These essentially pin back the lower inferior turbinates to induce normal airflow as such they won’t help if you have issues further up in the nasal cavity.If it helps at all I am a 6ft tall 87kg athletic build male with an average size (but narrow) nose and the small clip works perfectly. The medium makes my nose look and feel like a wind tunnel... woooosh!!!I went with the Airmax Sport because they have the little septum clips to stop it sliding out when running and jumping (may also function as a guide for depth setting to check they are in far enough!) Although they can be a little uncomfortable at first you soon get used to them and the benefits are incredible! I genuinely feel like a different person while training now that I can consistently nasal breath.Plus now I know what I would look like if I got a septum piercing - BONUS!Yours faithfully,Ex-mouth breatherP.S. - For more breathing info look up James Nestor. I have found the medium size to be fairly good at dilating my nostrils, but this then caused dryness inside the nose, and when I blew my nose it bled a little because of this.Mentioned it in passing to my GP, who said the broken blood vessels and soreness are due to the enforced dryness at night, caused by opening up your nostrils with two bits of silicone, which makes sense. She advised using a smidge of good old Vaseline on the sore spots (mine are generally on my septum) during the day. You can’t do this at night because the device is far more likely to slide out!I bought the sports ones as they were the n cheaper than the non-sport version. The only difference I can discern is that the sports versions have a little protuberance on each leg, which to me looks like an extra security-in-the-nose type of thing.I’m female, with a normal sized female nose, not huge, not tiny. The small did nothing. I’ve used the medium one almost constantly since I bought it. It’s lasted me a lot longer than the stipulated 3 months. I bought around 9 months ago. It’s still in one piece, but it has become less rigid than it was, and it’s getting harder to place it correctly to open up my snorey nostrils - I get a lot of sinusitis and a bunged-up-feeling nose (swelling from inflammation) which then means I reflexively open my mouth to breathe in my sleep. When my nostrils are sufficiently dilated, my mouth stays closed and I don’t snore.Be aware that if you snore ONLY from your throat, and it isn’t related to you opening your mouth to compensate for a blocked nose, then these prob won’t work. But they DO work for nose snorers!But they are stupidly expensive.

Read many reviews that is doesn't quite hold and such. But still decided to try and so happy I did. It works great for me. If you choose the right size for you and fit it well doesn't move and practically there isn't any big discomfort. Feels a little odd at first but you get used to it quick as it is not irritating. I jogged a few days with it, never fell out, could breathe well and works much better than playing with strips. The only thing to be mindful of using it if you have a runny nose. Then is it not a comfortable experience. For most women I think small size will work best. I ordered a set of medium and small and medium is too big and I do not have the smallest of noses.

On initial fitting I could feel an improvement of air flow passing through my nostrils however as my breathing became heavier the device moved and began to irritate my nostril. As the exercise continued the my heavier breathing caused the device to become dislodged despite replacing it to the advised position. It would not be safe for me to use this item during my preferred exercise (road cycling). So for two reasons I feel that this item is unsuitable for me to use for it's intended purpose. I can not,therefor, recommend them because they clearly neither fit nor suit everybody who would benefit from nasal breathing, especially during moderate intensive exercise.

I bought these nasal dilators over a year and a half ago and they’ve done wonders for me. I bought them for skiing but ended up using them for sleeping because I have a deviated septum. I always struggled to breathe through my nose at night because I wasn’t getting enough airflow and ended up waking up with dry mouth. These dilators have been a god send for me, they open up my airways so well so that I can breathe deeply through my nose when I’m sleeping. You can barely feel that they’re in too. I would very highly recommend and have suggested them to so many friends with similar problems.

So i picked these up on a recommendation from a friend,ive been in two minds about ordering, but i finally bit the bullet.Unfortunately for me i really struggle to breath from my nose at the best of times, im not entirely certain what issue I have with my nasal passages, but my gosh it’s annoying. Cant breathe at all through my nose when i lay down, i snore so loud while sleeping.the ailments are LONG!i can see where the design of this little device is going but unfortunately even the “small” is too big for my nasal passages, i cant get the device in far enough to push my nose out so unfortunately they don't work for me! Bit of a waste of money but at least I tried i guess.

I suspect that the Airmax would provide no real benefit for normal nasal passages . I am a 76 years old fell runner and mountain biker with narrow nasal passages that have become narrower with age. I have found externally applied tapes to drop off far too easily. I have done a 'controlled' test with the small size but I suspect that the medium would work even better. Using a turbo trainer I rode at 3 levels; steady, medium and hard placing and removing the airmax periodically with these results. At a steady rate I could ride for 'hours' nose breathing without the airmax but it certainly improved my nasal breathing.At medium effort nose breathing was not an option but became possible with the airmax fitted. At top effort about 5 minutes nose breathing was not possible even with the airmax but airflow was definitely improved.I found fitting to be easy and both sizes were comfortable and soon forgotten. So airmax has to be worth a try.

I've had to rely on heavy duty nasal strips all allergy season, they are pretty effective but the adhesive irritates my skin and face it, they are unsightly if you wear them 24/7. My initial thoughts on the Air Max Sport Medium is that they are pretty amazing and they are also pretty inconspicuous. I've ordered more so I can rotate/clean them.

Lo sto usando da un mesetto e devo dire che mi sta aiutando a respirare meglio.Ho un naso deviato in modo abbastanza importante, e quando sono raffreddato spesso respirare lo trovo faticoso.Con questo prodotto devo dire che respiro molto meglio quando ho il naso un po' chiuso, solo all'inizio l'ho trovato scomodo, ma ora dopo diverse settimane, lo sto trovando molto pratico.Sconsiglio di usarlo per sport come la lotta, mma o thai boxe, decisamente utile invece sia per dormire meglio che per sport come la corsa, sci, bici, pesi etc...Consiglio di provare e di dargli una possibilità.
