I'm a 65 year old woman. I saw a well-known dermatologist in Los Angeles who specializes in hair loss and has alopecia. She is booked 6 months out, she's that popular. She told me to use 5% minoxidil twice a day and stressed that it's safe to use that amount on women despite what the company and labeling says. I had hair loss on both sides of my bangs - this is a very common pattern near the temples.Well 5 months later, I have significant new hair growth, totally exceeding my expectations. My balding spots are now filling in. I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because it causes my scalp to itch a little and I get big dandruff flakes when I scratch. Ironically, the scratching probably stimulates more hair growth, Lol. I have to wash the areas every two days or so, separate from the rest of my hair, but that's little sacrifice for a big result. I'm so glad I still had live follicles that could be stimulated to grow. Start using it before your follicles die, because once their dead, Minoxidil won't work.
