DEWALTDPG51-9C Radius Ice 10 Base Curve Lens Protective Indoor/Outdoor Safety Glasses

I'm a welder and currently work in manufacturing, and as such I'm required to wear safety glasses all day on the plant floor. Almost all other safety glasses start to hurt the tops of my ears after my welding hood has been pushing down on them after 10-12 hrs of work. But these I honestly forget they're there. Also I pretty much exclusively wear in and outs. How they cut the glare both inside and outside is a must for me and unless you're in a real low light situation these are the way to go. I have been using the dewalt radius' every day for over 4 years now and I will not wear any other safety glasses if I have the option. They do get scratched if you abuse them, but having been in the welding trade for almost 14 years now, and having used many kinds of cheap-expensive safety glasses they all get scratched if you beat them up. And honestly I'd rather wear a scratched pair of these, than a clear pair of basically any others.

The first pair I recieved was an open box item, possibly used for display purposes somewhere because they were scratched and missing the tag. Amazon of course made things right as fast as they possibly could, which is why I still stand by them. Every time I've had a problem with an order (very few) they have far surpassed my expectations to make it right. For a company as large as Amazon, it is impressive.Now to the glasses, I've bought these a number of times to replace the awful glasses they give us at work. They are comfortable and do not look dorky af. The indoor/outdoor lenses are nice because people can't see my eyeballs, which makes them take me more serious. I hear such comments as, "you can never tell with that guy" and "man, that guy is so cool check out his glasses".I guess Dewalt stopped making these for some reason because I can't find them in stores anymore. Shame. I reckon they had to focus more on trying to outdo Milwuakee by making inferior cordless tools that cost more. Got 'em!

Not as scratch resistant as they should be. My high visibility vests pockets marred the lens.

Pretty nice pair of safety glasses and the best thing about them is that the boss can’t ever tell when I’m stoned now. Would recommend to the average construction working stoner or just any foreman who would like to add a cool look to their uniform.

Well, these are perfect! They are feather-light, the lenses are great for indoor (surprised by that and actually tested them at night-time with artificial light) and outdoor use. They fit my narrow-ish head very nicely, and they look pretty cool compared to other safety glasses. All others I tried were kinda large for my head. The lenses extend backwards quite a bit, say 3/4 of an inch behind the eyes. Of course they will not protect you in extreme dusty conditions, since they are open-type (1/8-1/4 of an inch all around). I am very happy with them, although I guess everyone is different so you have to try a couple (or more) to find the one that fits you best.

I had the Radius in the Smoke lens that I paid much more for at the local big box store. Eventually the hard plastic tips wore through the rubber ends and then the rubber ends would stay on my head when I took them off. So I just trashed the rubber tips and wore without. Sunglasses and eye protection during woodworking and yard work projects, the Smoke were great but eventually I misplaced them. Knowing I wanted a little lighter tint for working in the garage I went with this these. The lenses make them look expensive but more like safety glasses than sunglasses. May have to keep these for safety and get another pair of smoke or mirrored for sunglasses. Time will tell if the tips the last more than six months.Update well got these in January and by August the tip was coming off one side and now both are coming off. I wear them daily as I commute by bicycle. At least the tips did not fall apart on the glasses. Will tape the tips to the glasses and wear a bit longer until I can afford to buy something new and then they will just for woodworking when I have time to do that. Will not buy another pair of the Dewalt. Thankfully their tools are much better.

These are great because they are not too dark and are easy to clean.They won't fog up and you can do outside or inside work easily with them.Only negative is that they do have a slight "lens" factor to them so that when you turn your head up and down you will notice a difference in contour.Truthfully these are great working glasses and the price doesn't make me feel bad if I have to buy another, also they do look really good in comparison to others I've worn.
