Shur-Line 1500C Handi Painter

I really liked using these for painting different surfaces during a recent renovation. it worked really well on uneven surfaces and held plenty of paint, but smoothed out easily. the little off square corners are perfect for many situations. it leaves a nice texture too- also disposable. but wrapping it in plastic and putting it in the fridge will keep it fresh for the next day. I really like them

These little guys are fantastic! They are light but sturdy. They can be cleaned and reused a few times. The little pointed corners make it easier to get into the wall corners. I don’t use a tray. I use the stir stick to load the paint on it kinda like buttering a slice of bread. They hold a lot of paint so you can cover a good area each time you load them with paint. The little bristles are strong and do a good job of getting into those irregular surface areas. They are light and easy to maneuver so my arm doesn’t tire as fast. Just bought fourmore!

Easy painting ...w/very good end results

I feel incredibly guilty whenever I use these, but there's really nothing better when it comes to painting a single wall or small room. Although they're not as thick as their reusable more expensive counterparts, these disposable paint pads are actually much easier to use, because the pad is glued to the handle so it doesn't fly off mid wall. I've also been pleasantly surprised at the quality- I've let a pad sit face down in a little bit of water (thinking I would come back to do another coat in an hour, and forgotten) for a week. When I did come back, after a quick rinse it was ready to go and I used it to finish the job.Highly recommended. (Note: check your local big box home store for a better price on these- the single-named store no longer carries them, but their competitor with the 2-word name often ones.)

This is a great painter for interior walls. It holds paint well. It allows you to cover a lot of area efficiently, and saves a lot of time. It cleans well with latex paints. I have not used it with oil based paint. The price is right.

I used it to apply Bona finish

I used this product for roof sealant and it was okay in the following ways:ProsWide widthDisposableConsStyrofoam doesn't hold up under medium pressure, may start falling apart before the job is complete.Felt is a little too thin for painting or sealing.Recommendations to manufacturer: use a thicker felt or upgrade the a foam pad. Upgrade handle to a cheap wood like a white soft wood, provided they are available. All in all, you have the potential to make a great affordable product.

So I bought one of these and really didn't pay attention to how you are supposed to use it. It worked but not like it should have and I ruined it but then bought another after reading more and it is a gem. You have to put the paint on applicator and then use it that way. I was dipping it in but I am not really a painter, I just wanted to paint my kitchen while my husband was away and did a rush job. This is a great tool though for any painter I would imagine.
