I made the mistake of buying and using an outdoor potting soil when re-potting an indoor house plant. The outdoor soil smelled like manure and made the whole house stink like a barnyard. I sprinkled about 1 1/2 cups of this charcoal over the top of the soil, mixed it in just a little, and lightly watered the plant. I noticed The odor stopped within a few minutes. This product worked very well and I highly recommend it to anyone who makes a similar mistake when potting indoor plants. I have lots of charcoal left just incase it needs another dose in the future.

Great product. It got the musky smell out of my apartment!I life in Florida with its high humidity and could not get rid off the musky smell even with a brand new dehumidifier and air purifiers that run 24/7. So, I bought that activated charcoal, filled it in 2 socks and hung it in a well ventilated location in the area that the smell came from. After 24 hours the smell was gone for good.

Works well in the litterbox room that 2 cats use frequently. I sprinkle a little in the boxes and leave the jar open, and rarely smell anything. I also use a small bowl of it in the kitchen which helps with cooking odors.

Probably okay. But the particle size is very small. Too small for the device (Lomi countertop composter) unless I add another screen.

This stuff is kind of pricey but definitely helps keep the smell of my kitty’s litter box under control. I used to get litter that had activated charcoal already in it but I can no longer find it. I was using regular litter and noticed the difference immediately. I just sprinkle some on top and mix it in when I put new litter in. I completely empty and clean her box 1x week in the summer and 1x every 2 weeks in the cooler months and of course scoop her presents out periodically in between. When I scoop I usually add some kitty litter on top and a bit of the charcoal too and she does her business it gets mixed in that way I’m not mixing up older stuff with it. Works like a charm! You could also use it other places that have odors like a little sachet at the bottom of your trash can or in your shoes, a bathroom that doesn’t have good ventilation I have charcoal inserts for my shoes and it says you can leave them in the sun and uv rays helps the smells and bacteria clear out and can reuse them so if you make little sachets you could try to reuse them after the sun for places other than the litter box too!
