Good for the price
Easy setup. Intuitive controls. Good motion and a small form factor. Only been installed for a few days so I haven't used the auto-cleaning function yet. Magnet is decent.

So far so good...
Well, it is really quiet so far, so those who say it is noisy, you may have something stuck in it or have a dud. I have another AQQA pump that is an @$$ kicker for the money so I like there products so far. Hmmm...made in China. You just never know. It ain't all junk.Lots of options on flow and rates. I like the self-cleaning option. I am currently flipping it around trying to figure the best flow for my mini reef, and you can flip it 4 different ways if you want it at 90 degree angles and all the other ways if you don't care about that so that is very useful. It may actually be just a little too powerful for my 20 gallon long so I may just end up bouncing it off the back or front wall so the fish don't get spooked, but hey, with its options...that's an option so again, a nifty little circ pump. I don't think the price is too high if I can get a year or two out of it. Remember - the expensive ones from companies like Reef Octopus and Aqua Illumination will run you several hundred. My one gripe - same gripe I have with the Hygger wave maker - man, give me a decent magnet. This thing is weak, and the rubber padding was already coming off. Not a huge deal - dab of loctite, that part is on the outside and I will likely just use a magnet from a different pump I have lying around but sheesh...It is possible the magnet design, the way it is offset from the device, may be to not iterrupt the function of the device so if so, ok, but just make the exterior magnet larger and stronger and you solve the problem. But whatever, other than that, so far so good.

Powerful yet small, many options, magnet attachment
Powerful little unit.I am quite impressed with the power from such a tiny thing.SHAPE: I prefer this tube shape to the more common one which sticks out more. I think it is much harder for fish to get stuck in the tube shape. Also, it would not be so hard to make some sort of ‘cage’ to prevent fish near it.I like all the different wave patterns there are, and the controller for them. Being able to change it means you can get the ‘dead’ spots, or the spots where detritus have settled and get it sucked up into the filter. My only downside is the magnetic holder. For many tanks, this works fine and is likely far more secure than suction cups. However, my tank is an older 125, with very thick glass. I also got it for free, so I really don’t want it to crack or anything and make me buy one. I am not confident with attaching it via the magnet. (There are other people in my home, so I try hard to limit potential accidents.)Most magnet holders don’t like glass over 9mm thick, which mine is thicker than.I hope to make a 3d printed holder for it. Or a less elegant way would be to silicone it to the holder of another pump/thing that has suction cups in it.Overall, I think this is a great compact wavemaker which would be good in smaller saltwater tanks or for tanks where you would like some more flow, but don’t need 1000GPH of it.

Great Wave Maker
This is a great device for making surface turbulence in your tank, I have many floating plants that will form a 'mat' if left to grow with out agitation, this helps solve that. It is also very convenient to move with its magnetic mount. It has so many settings I still dont know what all of them do but I thoroughly enjoy it as an addition to my tank.
