When purchased them for EVGA RTX 2060 Gaming Ultra XC & 2x U2518D (because monitor accept HDR content through HDMI not DP1.4) I played a gamble because there isn't any statement about GPU's display port whether DP++ or not. As I didn't want to get active adapter because they are tend to fail and prices are from 3x when comparing this little fella.At the and of the day they worked at 2k60hz, I don't know if they can produce higher resolution as U2518D is 2k monitor.

Bought this to free my single HDMI port on my Geforce 1080 ti.Since the card has Displayport++ the signal just gets converted by the card for HDMI and this adaptor just acts as a 'plug shape changer', hence wanting a passive adapter.The Oculus only requires HDMI 1.4 and it works flawlessly.This way my freed HDMI port on the card is now connected to a 4K TV using all the available bandwidth from HDMI 2.0, i.e. 4K@60Hz.

Done as described BUT be aware that this limits your games FPS displayed on screen to 30 FPS even though your console or computer may be producing much more FPS. Don't make the same mistake as I did. But this is perfect for TV and movies which most are displayed in 30 FPS anyway! I also bought this a year ago and its still going strong!

I was scratching my head over why my direct Display Port to HDMI cable wasn't giving me my monitors maximum resolution. Turned out the cable had some limitations in this regard so I need an adaptor instead. Ditched the DP to HDMI cable and just connected this into a regular HDMI cable. Problem solved!

Works as it should. Reliable and good quality.Using for around 3 months now, with a Thinkpad x220 laptop that has a DP++ port and Linux OS.I have only tested 1080p as I don't have 4k screen. Also audio through HDMI works flawlessly.

I tried two other adapters. They don't work at all. This one works perfectly. It connects my Fedora 39 Linux Displayport to the HDMI port of a 4K smart TV. Works fine. No problems at all. I am very glad.
