Perfect EDC Multi-Tool — Strong, Sharp, and Easy to Use
This is a great addition to any everyday carry setup. Like other SOG tools I’ve owned, it feels well made and reliable. Opening and handling are smooth, and everything feels solid in hand. The blade is very sharp, and the pliers are impressively strong. It offers plenty of useful tools without feeling overcomplicated. Excellent value for what you get, and exactly what I expect from SOG.

Robust with Great Feel and Quality -- and a TON of Unique Features. Must Have!
I try to keep my EDC situation as minimal as possible, but as effective as I can. The PowerLock EOD 100% fits the bill for me. All the tools I could need (screwdrivers, a sharp knife, saw, you name it). Where it really shines is in the fact that it locks in place with the tools you're using, and in the compound leverage. Compound Leverage means I never need to exert as much force when i'm using the pliers or crimpers. it's a life saver in some situations. The locking just makes things safer when you're working with sharp tools and want more predictability when you're using it. Then you get to the sleek, but durable look of it, and you've got an ideal multi-tool that's well worth the buck. I live by this thing, and feel naked if I'm ever without it.

Extremely well made
I used the other reviews for this product to make my decision to buy it, and I wasn't disappointed at all. Since there are so many other good reviews, I'll be brief. This tool is fantastically well made. The craftsmanship is impeccable. It is pretty heavy- so it isn't well suited for pocket-carry. The included sheath has a belt clip and is also very well made. I found that I don't use the tool quite as often as I had anticipated, simply because there are few things I do in my everyday life that can't be done with my pocket knife. When I have had to use it, the pliers performed perfectly. The power assist is really noticeable, and I have used them in place of real pliers for this feature. Considering that this is just a multi-tool and technically should be used only when other tools are not readily available- I have asked this too to go above and beyond what I would have expected from it. For example, I used this tool almost exclusively to repair my lawn mower. I was able to remove stuck bolts that required tremendous force. I was afraid I would break the tool- but it held up. I don't think even my regular pliers would have been able to withstand that task. Bottom line: This isn't a cheap, lightweight tool that you use for opening bottles and letters. This is the real deal, and if you can stand to carry it it will serve you well forever.

Cool Multi-tool. Not the centerpiece of a rotation, though.
Tool looked like it was pre-used, and repackaged. Still, with a bit of cleaning and oil it looks and works great. Isn't nearly as noisy as a Leatherman and the needle-nose pliers are among the best you'll find anywhere, let alone on a multi-tool. Ditto the crimpers. One of the best aspects of this is actually the carrying case. Rugged, easy to clip on to any belt, and it looks sharp. Could throw any other EDC tool in it in a pinch and it'd be fine. Good buy, I'm satisfied.

Sturdy reliable tool for ski patrolling
Had this tool and used it fairly constantly for four winter seasons while working as a ski patroller. I used this thing to bend metal wire around, putting screws into our bamboo poles, cutting rope. This thing held up like a champ through it all, and the pliers were awesome and able to cut through the metal wire we had and zip ties with ease. The only things I would ding this on is that the metal covers detach and can be easy to lose, and that when using the tool with force, you'll probably want to wear gloves or else it'll dig into your palms. However, this is small consideration given the beating I put it through and would have continued to had I not lost it between seasons. I got a Leatherman Wave Plus the next season as everyone was recommending it and the pliers sheared apart only a few months into the season. Going back to SOG with a tool that I know was reliable.

How in the heck do I unlock a tool? Problem solved thanks to Google AI.
I opened one tool. It's locked into place (good) but I can't figure out how to close it (not good). Each of the tools is identified on the back of the package, but the release lever and how to use it is not. I also bought one for my daughter. It arrived today, just before she set out on a road trip with her 1yo kid. I thought it important that she have a tool that could cut thru a seatbelt in case of an accident. I sure hope that is not necessary because it's possible she can't figure out how to use this either. EDIT: According to Google AI: "To close a tool, open the handles and cover again, press the Piano Lock release lever, and rotate the tool back into the handle". I had tried the release lever before, but it did nothing. The opening and closing of the tool is an important step that SOG didn't think was information I would need to know. 5 stars for Google AI. 1 star for SOG. I'm sure its a great tool, but it should be this hard to figure out how to use it.

Simple, Durable, and Dependable
I have owned many different multi-tools over the years, from major name brands as well as wild-cards that came in different gift sets from friends and family. I've used them for everything, from general home repair, to automotive maintenance, to industrial construction, and the only tools that I've used that haven't bent or broken within minutes of active service are SOGs. This particular model I ordered so that I would have a stand-in for my customized S66, which I sent out for repairs. I use it as an everyday hand tool while working in the Telecom industry, and it is a vital part of my arsenal. The S62 is a standard, relatively lightweight model that is every bit as robust as their other models, and has performed flawlessly in the field. I even had it shipped overnight so that I would have it while I was out of town, and it arrived in the nick of time.

Leatherman and Gerber who??!!
excellent multitool. comfortable, easy to operate one handed kinda like a butterfly knife. all the tools are useful, especially the pliers with their compound leverage. the knife and the saw are sharp! be warned! modern Gerbers are rubbish quality and Leathermans are overpriced. the SOG is just a quality item. in the unlikely event one of the tools breaks, you can go on their website and buy another piece, they're all just bolted in. you can customise it to how you like it too. Get one, it'll be the only multitool you'll ever need! oh, one more thing, people have said about the black coating coming off on your hands, it's just the oil they cover it in!.

Beats a Leatherman
Bought this to replace the last one I had for over five years. It took beatings and was used heavily while still holding it wondrously however, I sadly lost it on the fireline somewhere. This one is the same quality, build and durability, awesome. If I lose this one i'll buy it again without hesitation it's that good.

Buen producto
Llego rapidisimo y el acero se ve bien pero la articulacion de las pinzas se ve algo fragil
