Amazing!
Great PLA filament – very reliable and easy to print with! 👍 I’ve been really impressed with the quality of this filament. It feeds smoothly through the printer and produces consistent prints with clean layers and good detail. I didn’t experience any clogging or tangling, and bed adhesion was excellent. The color is vibrant and the finished prints look great. It also seems very well wound on the spool, which makes printing long jobs worry-free. Overall, this is a great value filament and I’ll definitely be buying more for future projects! ⭐

Far better than I expected....
I normally use Polymaker or Copymaster3D but this Sunlu was the right colour and it was very cheap. I've thrown away "cheap" filament from Amazon multiple times but thought I'd try this well reviewed filament. I'm glad I did. It prints fast and accurately on my Bambu Labs X1C. The layer lines are well blended and only really show up under harsh light. The finished texture is pleasant enough without the need for additional finishing. The parts I made seem very strong with a .2mm layer height and 3 walls with a simple box-pattern, 15% infill. It adhered without issue to my textured plate without adhesive and stayed stuck until cooled, even with an upside down triangular item (the "point" of the triangle was cut off with the "top" being 3 times as wide). I will look at the rest of the Sunlu filaments for future projects based on the performance of this PLA+. It's also worth mentioning that the spool works well in the AMS, unlike some paper offerings from other suppliers. It's the correct diameter and rolls without issue. The filament also appears to be wound well and accurately onto the spool,

Reliable and good quality PLA
I'm really pleased with this filament. It's been completely reliable from the moment it came out of the pack, with a tidy, even spool that feeds smoothly through the printer. Prints have come out clean with strong layer adhesion, no tangling, and very little warping, even on slightly larger pieces. The finish is tidy straight off the bed, and it feels a bit tougher than standard PLA, which is great when you're printing functional parts or anything that gets handled regularly. Colour was consistent throughout the roll too. If anything, the only slight downside is that certain colours seem to go out of stock quickly, but performance-wise it's been faultless for me. Overall, a solid, dependable filament that I'm happy to keep buying.

excellent filament
A really good quality white that prints beautifully. I printed a very big piece with this so was nervous as the print time was Iver 25 hours. An excellent test of adhesion, clogging and tangling - passed with flying colours. Price was very good as well. Plastic wheel always makes me happy although I know we should be heading to better sustainable stuff - but this is a re-usable spool.

Not good, flexible but variable diameter and fumes-that said they dealt with the problem
Edited 5th Nov to add 2 stars as Sunlu, after checking photos etc, refunded the cost so I can buy again. As people say, it is not the problems it is how you deal with them, I can recommend them as their customer service will respond quickly and they will fix it. Shows customers and product perception are important to them. I have other filaments which are 1.6mm near the end of the spool, I assume this is because of tension stretching the filament on the initial windings. Again I guess the filament is warm when wound on as it takes the shape of the spool. In this case as it is a 1kg spool (other were 750g) perhaps the weight caused tension in the final windings too ? I will unwind 10% of the spool sometime and see if it goes to 1.7. So buy with confidence as they do their best to sort out problems with no arguments. The plasticky smell I believe comes from certain colours, this was silver, perhaps clear will be better. I have been using ice filament but thought I would try this for a change as the ice went to 1.6mm diameter towards the end. This was 1.7 to start but quickly went to 1.6 !!! Easily seen as it was producing bad layers and the top layers were missing the edges. This is caused by small diameter causing backlash in the bowden tube coupled with not enough filament being extruded. 1.6mm is 10% too small, a massive amount in filament terms. Increasing flow rate to 112% fixes the problem, and confirms the lesser diameter. Another problem (on the silver one anyway) is fumes. Other makes have never been a problem but I got sore eyes being in the same room when printing. Out of the box the filament smells 'plasticky' and more so when heated. Deserves a star for being flexible (maybe just thinner so bends more :( ) but could have it's uses. Use in a ventilated room and use a vernier gauge to check diameter before each print and adjust flow rate to suit. Doubt I will use any more as just too risky, no idea what the fumes are. I will ask amazon for a refund but doubt it is worth returning due to weight, I will return it as long as Sunlu refunds Amazon as not their fault. Don't buy it loads better out there. This is my first ever bad review. Sorry but can't recommend it

As always my usual brand of filaments, This black is pretty stringy though
Perfectly fine PLA+ i always choose SUNLU being one of the top brands for filament. I never have an issue with it. Each filament type, colour though has its own pro's and cons. I like this black as a finish, although its a little unforgiving with the start/stop points ( may be more to do with my settings) This black does string quite a bit though, not a problem but stringing is to be expected with this batch. You always have more than you really think you do. every spool since its been wound so well and evenly, when it gets down to the last few layers of filament, i always think ive only got 1 project left, or an hour print left. Im ALWAYS supprised to get a couple of days worth of printing off just the last few layers. I get many projects from a 1kg spool of SUNLU PLA+, many many hours of printing. Oh..... this black does suffer a little bit more than most with moisture in the air. ive had it snap a couple of times while the printer is turned off.

sunlu is a winner
I’ve been using SUNLU PLA filament for a while now, and I’m really impressed with its consistency and performance. The filament comes well-spooled with minimal tangles, and it feeds perfectly through my printer every time. It prints smoothly, with excellent layer adhesion, and very little stringing or warping compared to other PLA brands I’ve tried. The finish on prints is clean and slightly glossy, which makes models and decorative pieces look professional. I’ve printed both detailed models and larger pieces, and it handles both equally well. Dimensional accuracy is reliable, so parts fit together as expected without post-processing adjustments. Another big plus is how easy PLA is to work with, and SUNLU’s quality makes it even better—strong enough for functional parts, but still easy to sand and paint if needed. Overall, SUNLU PLA is a top-notch filament that combines ease of use, excellent print quality, and reliable consistency. Definitely one I’ll keep stocked.
