Mackie CR8SBT 8” Powered Subwoofer with Desktop Remote, Bluetooth, TRS, RCA, Crossover and Polarity Controls, Compatible with CR Series Powered Studio Monitors

Overall the sound is great - the volume control is the main reason I bought this vs the PreSonus Eris equivalent, and it works great, allowing control of both the volume and the overall bass level. I paired it with my PreSonus Eris E3.5 speakers which I already had, and it sounds great once I figured out where to set the crossover (around 100 hz for the record). The only negative I have is the line noise - a $10 ground loop noise isolator (on the line coming out of the input switcher) fixed that, but I didn't have this issue with my Eris speakers prior to adding the sub. Also, it's huge - but that's my fault. I wanted to put it behind the couch but it doesn't fit, so I had to be creative with my room placement. For now I've only used it with my Mac Book - both via the headphone jack and also using the audio out on my monitor over display port. The headphone jack sounds better of course, but I liked having the ability to use all my devices from the monitor out. I solved that by buying an input switcher, so when I want higher quality for listening to music I can use the headphone, but if I'm using it with my Switch / PS5, etc I can use the monitor's output.

Solid, heavy and well built. Easy to connect, setup and integate with my PC, external DAC and powered monitors. CRDV wired remote makes it a breeze to adjust system volume and sub level independently. This sub makes my 3.5" powered speakers sound like full size, full range speakers. Bass quality, and overall balance from system is really good for a near field setup.

Got this thing all set up, and nothing. The passthrough works, the remote works, but nothing coming from the subwoofer's speaker, dead. I have many years of car/home audio experience and I troubleshot this for a little while but it's pretty obvious the unit I received was dead from the factory. I'd probably stay away from this product in the future.

Great sound and built to endure

It is great BUT FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW THERES A VIDEO ON YOUTUBE THAT THE GUY SAYS ALL YOU NEED IS WHAT COMES WITH THE PRODUCT THATS INCORRECT! YOU NEED separate cables IRS male ends you need 2 pairs that's 4 cords with a audio interface!!! Be warned I almost returned it but I knew I was missing cables so once I got them the magic came alive!!! Your welcome in advance.

This Mackie CR8SBT 8" Powered Subwoofer With Bluetooth just works and the additional volume controller is a nice touch. The controller allows you to control the overall volume of your speaker combo as well as the level of sub bass being added to the mix. You can't beat the quality at this price point.

Habra otros subs que suenen mas fuerte o mas definidos o demás caracteristicas, etc, yo lo uso solo para monitoreo de grabacion y jala muy bien con el plus de que tiene su control de escritorio y bluetooth por lo cual Para lo que pagas esta bien, si quieres destruir ventas tendras que pagar mas. Le doy 5 estrellas

La entrega fué en tiempo y forma, pero el subwoofer metía ruido en los monitores Mackie cr3 que tengo, aún utilizando cable TRS y el volumen de éste era muy bajo, aún ajustando los controles del mismo. El equipo está conectado a un DAC ifi; cabe aclarar que ya conecté un subwoofer prestado edifier, y éste no metía ruido a las bocinas, asi que creo que adquiriré uno de esta marca una vez que se haga el reembolso.
