Shelly 2PM Gen3 WiFi 2-Channel Smart Relay Switch, Power Metering

I gotta admit, I was skeptical at first.. I had never heard of Shelly and the insane amount of features packed into this extremely small package is just crazy. But now that I've been using the Shelly 2PM Gen3 for a few days it's amazing! It does so much! I have mine controlling the opening and closing of the door on our chicken coop based on sunrise and sunset. The mobile app has so many features.. I'm barely scratching the surface of what it can do. And I can't believe there are so many options for connectivity; Bluetooth, Wifi, Zigbee, Matter, etc. The build quality is exactly what I expected to be honest.. but that' snot a bad thing. This device is mean to be in harsh environments.. not wet ones mind you but hot and dusty is no problem. Mine is mounted inside a steel box roughly 80' from the nearest wifi access point and it still has a signal. The support has also been very, very good.. you have multiple choices too, you can post on Reddit.com/r/ShellyUSA/ or they have a Facebook Support Group.. or you can login and create a support ticket. The people on the Reddit sub are very active and responsive! All of this for less than $35! I now have about 3 other projects around here that I will be using a Shelly for!

Blown away by how good the firmware on these things is compared to everything else I've ever used (Tasmota, ESPHome, not to mention tons of no-name Chinese parts). Plug and play, don't need an app, immediately integrates with HomeAssistant, can act as a smart switch, and it's way way smaller than I expected. Just an amazing package, will be buying more!

Amazing little gadget. I have this as my master controller for a custom whole house fan I built that uses a crank out window for the airflow exit. Lots of other parts in the system, but this Shelly 2pm is the master orchestrator running it all with scripts. Push a momentary button and the window cranks open and then turns on the variable speed exhaust fan by communicating with another Shelly dimmer module. Pretty cool.

worked great, and easy to install. Its super small and I was able to fit it into a box which had 1 2 plug outlet and 2 switches, and its successfully integrating with both switches, and no issues integrating to Home Assistant for remote control.

In the weeks that I've been using it, the Shelly 2PM Gen 3 has proven to be remarkably dependable. It was easy to set up, connected to Wi-Fi without any issues, and integrated seamlessly with my Home Assistant setup. The surprisingly accurate power-metering feature allows me to see the energy usage for each channel in real time. When I use mine to control two separate circuits, the independent relay control works perfectly. The connection has never been lost, and the web interface and the app are both responsive. Anyone putting energy monitoring or smart home automation into practice will find this to be a reliable and flexible solution that just works.

great product, well engineered device and ecosystem. Easy to setup and use... only I bought 13 (one spare) and two failed almost immediately (weeping face). This is why a 4 not a 5. They are replaced and serving the goal well. The goal was to automatically close emergency shutters in the event of tornado or hurricane. The only part not done and fully automatic is integration of Alexa to the Emergency Alery System (which has nothing to do with this product).

these are great. very reliable and easy to use. jamming them into the electrical box can sometimes be a challenge but they've held up to being jammed in.

Shelly's thoroughness in engineering and design really shine thru with these things. I rewired 6 ceiling fans in my house using these to control the fan and light independently. No problems, and seamless integration with Home Assistant. Absolutely love Shelly products in general.

Ich habe den Shelly in meine Unterputzdosen eingebaut, um meine Rollläden endlich intelligent zu steuern, und bin begeistert von diesem kleinen Teil. Erst war ich etwas besorgt, ob der Platz in der Dose ausreicht und ob die Einrichtung kompliziert wird, aber das Gerät ist angenehm kompakt und dank der verbesserten, stabileren Klemmen ließen sich die Kabel wunderbar einfach und sicher anschließen. Man merkt sofort, dass die neue Generation durch den besseren Prozessor wahnsinnig schnell reagiert, die Befehle werden ohne spürbare Verzögerung umgesetzt, was im Alltag einfach ein richtig gutes und zuverlässiges Gefühl vermittelt. Die Kalibrierung der Rollläden hat auf Anhieb perfekt funktioniert, sodass ich sie jetzt zentimetergenau auf einen bestimmten Prozentsatz einstellen kann, und auch die integrierte Strommessung ist ein tolles Extra, um den Verbrauch im Blick zu behalten. Ein kleiner Nachteil ist , dass man für den Einbau zwingend einen Neutralleiter in der Dose benötigt, was gerade in älteren Häusern nicht immer der Fall ist, sodass man das vorher unbedingt prüfen muss. Auch die Fülle an Funktionen in der App kann einen im ersten Moment fast ein bisschen erschlagen, wenn man sich mit der Materie noch nicht so gut auskennt, da braucht es am Anfang ein klein wenig Geduld zum Einarbeiten. Für mich überwiegen die Vorteile aber ganz klar, weil das Relais extrem stabil im WLAN läuft, ohne dass man ein zusätzliches Gateway braucht, und die lokale Steuerung hervorragend funktioniert. Ich bin rundum zufrieden mit diesem Kauf und würde das Modul jedem empfehlen, der sein Zuhause ohne großen Aufwand ein Stück smarter machen möchte.
