Good Case, lock broke though (no warranty)
I got this and the lock lasted for three years. This lock or any moving parts are NOT under warranty, only the shell is.Apart from that it is a very good case and would recommend it

It's a really big box...
My large Gretsch hollow body needs to get looked at. I acquired this travel case to take it to the repair shop and I'm quite happy with what I ordered. The case looks like your fairly standard travel case. The outside is pretty hard and quite solid. Something built to take a good knock or two. The actual weight of the thing is as expected, quite heavy and even more so with the guitar in it. I didn't have a problem with the clasps. It opened right up, the guitar fit in quite snuggly and closed without a problem.I was a little concerned that it was going to smoosh my tremolo bar as it is a very snug fit, as mentioned above. But it seems to be okay with it tucked in behind the bridge. There was no rocking around when the case was in motion and no bumps were had. I really can't complain.I obviously can't say whether this travel case is good for serious gigging, especially travel that involves the questionable package handlers at airports. But it was perfect for what I needed it for and I can't complain.

Good quality hard case
I needed a hard case for a new Chowny SWB-Pro Bass Guitar I had purchased as the maker did not market one.I was directed to look at a Gator GC- ELECT-XL case which might be suitable. Purchased this case at a very good price as hard cases can be expensive. Delivered quickly. The SWB-Pro bass fitted perfectly. Plenty of storage compartments within the case for a strap, leads etc.

Light, well padded, flimsy catches
SummaryOK -ish. But it probably won’t last me very long. Expensive but I got it at a discounted rate and needed a case quickly.Buy a Hiscox case instead. Not much more in cost and far more rugged with much stronger catches - will be my next case and will probably sell the Gator if it survives! (I have a Hiscox for each of my saxophones). Though Hiscox are so good and so popular that they are often out of stock - not available on Amazon to my knowledge.GATOR Good Points:Very lightRobust, solid outer casingWell padded and stiff interiorTrays for gear - tuner, strings etcSize is perfect for my Yamah BB bass - just needs a little extra padding at the head end probably about 6 or 7 mm.GATOR Bad PointsUseless and flimsy catches - I had to send the first one back as one catch was completely destroyed and part of it was not even in the boxReplacement not boxed - just wrapped in bubble wrap - but Amazon did a great job (as usual) with a fast replacementWith use, I think that the interior might start to part company with the outerLED ….. mmm, jury’s out. Good for uses in dark light at a gig (it’s main intention) but otherwise it will be little used. You need to remove the whole light unit just to put batteries in. This appears to be an afterthought ‘extra’ rather than an intentional and sensible design

Ideal budget buy!
I purchased this case I recently bought a Mexican telecaster and diddn't trust my gig bag to protect it. I have owned gator cases before so When I saw this was on sale for £59 instead of £75 I jumped to the opportunity. There were some cheaper cases I found but most of them were a curved shape specific to each guitar model and I wanted something more universal to throw any of my guitars in. The cheaper cases all seemed to be made of wood, Whether wood is better or not for protection I am unsure as I know most high end cases are wooden but this heavy duty ABS seems like a no brainer to me.The case is really robust and seems really durable. I don't know if its on the level that id want to throw it on a plane but it wouldn't surprise me if after doing so it remained intact. The case is really light too despite its rigidity which is a big plus since most of the weight when you are carrying it comes from the guitar itself. The case has a tag on top to write any contact details if it was lost (although a good idea I do wish it was removable as it is glued on) and on the side a simple gator logo. Around the case you'll find a strong carrying handle and 3 clips to hold the case closed, one of which is lockable with the included 2 keys. Inside the case everything is perfectly lined with a soft, black, fur-like material. While the moulding inside is firm and holds its shape very well there is still some flexibility if things don't fit perfectly as I could when trying my Schecter Omen Extreme FR in this case. The headstock of this guitar is slightly longer than most but with a bit of pressure everything squeezed in firmly. My Telecaster however was slightly different, the body is slightly shorter than the common Strat shape so the body had some free space to move (only an inch or so) up and down, not horizontally though as the neck is held firmly in place. This isn't a massive issue since the inside is so well padded but if you plan to use this with just one guitar check the inner dimensions listed on the product page. Also inside there are some pockets for some cables, strings, straps, capos or whatever it is that you carry with you which is a nice touch.Overall a great buy and I strongly recommend this case especially if you just want a one fits all type deal. Even if this case was not on sale I still would have picked it up and been just as happy with it as I am now. Yes there are cheaper cases but I guarantee you won't be getting the robust strength and quality.
