Car Stereo for BMW E60 E90 E92 Radio with CarPlay Android Auto Upgrade CIC idrive System Screen for 3/5 Serie E61/E91/E93(2008-2013)

I installed this unit for my CIC stereo. I have a 2011 BMW 335is, E93. This unit works very well as intended. The screen resolution is crisp and it's a slight upgrade from the current screen. I must advise that this unit is not an Android Unit, meaning you can't download apps, it is strictly a device to mirror your phone, (Apple Carplay or Android Auto). With that said, I can connect to the unit via Wifi or Bluetooth, which is nice having two options. The best part is that it is wireless. The only issue is that, when I am connected to Android Auto and listening to Pandora, I am can not skip to the next track using the steering wheel controls. I have to use the center rotary knob to select the skip function on the app, and then I have to press on the knob to select the skip function... or just press next on the screen itself. For me, it is not a major issue, and it does not deter me from enjoying my drive or the head unit. The installation itself is pretty straight forward, I had no issues removing the old unit and installing this one. If you have no sound for some reason, it is because you did something wrong. Make sure the aux audio cable is installed correctly, and that you move the Green optical cable from the stock audio harness to the new audio harness.

The installation of this CarPlay is so easy; it has everything you need to change your old one to this one. Within 10 minutes, it was replaced and was working. Update: 11-7-25 It has been 3 months since I purchased this car stereo, and now neither the Bluetooth nor the direct plug-in iPhone works. If it connects, it will start playing, and after a few minutes, it will reset and restart the car radio, and it will not connect again. Also, CarPlay does not work, so I have to connect my phone to the Bluetooth if I get a call. “Do not buy it.” Spend a bit more and get a better one, as that is precisely what I am doing.

This unit worked flawlessly on my BMW 2010, 335i. The graphics etc. are great and so is the CarPlay. I added a backup camera and that too integrated well with the product. Only issue is if you are playing your radio through this unit, the sound is poor, the setting to adjust the sound doesn't do much to improve it, the alternative is switch to the original BMW interface which you can do and use the radio through that, sound is back to normal. One more thing it gives off a bit of heat.

For the price point it does what it says does and very well. There is a slight lag but beats the $900 options. Install and integration is fairly seamless. That being said there are a few key points to note. I installed this in a 2011 328i w idrive. FIRST- test your aux port for proper operation prior to doing anything. This is how the new unit will play through. Make sure you have a 6' aux cable and test that as well. I bought a brand new one and didn't test it. You wouldn't believe the amount of troubleshooting I ended doing. SECOND- if equipped you have to relocate your "MOST" connector from factory harness to new harness in back of factory unit. THIRD- if you're asking a backup camera there's one on Amazon built into the rear trunk button that is great. It's a little work to get to trunk lid but it's well worth it. FOURTH - there's a couple of connections behind the new unit that say CIC/CCC AND CIC AND CCC. plug in your version to the proper plug. Hopefully this streamlines your install.

This unit is ok but NOT all they say it is in the ad. FIRST OFF, it does NOT allow you to control your og iDrive settings unless you have it professionally coded. It does NOT play sound thru your original BMW speakers. And product support is “good luck babe” at best. I am including pics of what you can expect as far as “product support. Sure, it replaces your broken idrive with new and shiny Carplay but it takes Piper, Prue, Phoebe and Paige altogether to fit this added wiring harness into your dash. For the price tho… its honestly a decent deal- but you get what you pay for.

Upgrade that’s needed, easy install. Carplay audio doesn’t work for some reason, but still works with the car usb port for the music.

Well followed the 💩 instructions. Phone Bluetooth works. Oem home screen is all purple. No radio, no blue tooth sound. Unfortunately it was bought for a Christmas present. I would send this pos back if I could. I would stay clear. They don't answer emails either Months later still no response no help no customer service High suggest to stay clear of this scrappy seller

Lo he montado en un BMW E60 CCC con cámara aftermarket. Siguiendo las instrucciones, ha funcionado de periquete a la primera.

Si integra perfettamente col sistema i drive CIC del BMW E90 LCI. È possibile utilizzare in parallelo sia il sistema dell’auto che il CarPlay. I sensori di parcheggio originali funzionano benissimo, e anche la manopola idrive e i comandi al volante. - nessun problema con lo start&stop (la mia ha il tasto optional per disattivarlo) - per le vetture dotate del sistema di chiamata SOS di emergenza, appare la spia di esclusione all’accensione e allo spegnimento del quadro, poi si spegne subito (occorre installare un connettore di fibra ottica) ma la cosa non dà fastidio perché non rimane sul display!

In einem BMW E91 LCI eingebaut. Aux Out Anschluss war nötig sonst kein Sound. Dann war qualität erst aber mega schlecht weil ich cic ground wire cable nicht angeschlossen habe da unklar wie (schritt 6). Nachdem ich das ground wire cable verbunden habe mega gute Sound Qualität viel besser als Original CIC Sound. System startet sehr schnell. CIC System weiterhin ohne Probleme nutzbar in voller Funktion. Gutes Display mit Touch Android Auto Verbindung immer automtisch sehr schnell verbunden. Auch afternarket Rückfahrkamera funktioniert super,!! Preis /Leistung Top

El envío y el producto todo perfecto, pero no era válido para mi vehículo, en ningún sitio del anuncio pone que no es válido para los vehículos con star/stop. Cuando lo recibí y me dispuse a montarlo en las instrucciones lo ponía bien claro, no apto para vehículos con star/stop el por qué, no lo sé? Lo e devuelto y estoy a la espera de la devolución del importe.
