Works most of the time

Worked as a substitute for old PMT 901 "Promax" (brand) remote control for Promax PMX85 garage door opener.The only issue was that it seemed the DIP switch settings for the 12 switches had to be set to the "reverse" of what was marked—that is, if the original switches 1 and 2 (etc.) were set to ON and OFF respectively, (etc.), then on the replacement you had to set those 2 switches OFF and ON (etc.). [Perhaps this was because the markings were too small to read or faded on the old switch... Or I did it the wrong way the 1st time?). Anyhow, changing the settings to the opposite of my 1st try, allowed the new remote to operate the garage door.It takes a tiny A23 12Vdc battery, which came with the unit. However, this battery was not an alkaline battery, but probably the older zinc-carbon type which has less ampere-hour capacity. So it may not last as long as an alkaline type A23 battery, but these are available on Amazon for less than a dollar each if you buy, say, a 4-pack of such batteries. The shelf life can be 5 ~ 7 years for these.

This works perfectly for my Blue Max garage door opener. I checked the MHz of this and my opener before I bought it to make sure they matched. It is tiny, so it closes under the visor in my vehicle very well and doesn't make the visor hang down at all. Easy to program. Perfect purchase.Update: I wrote this same thing with less detail on Day 18 of use and now on Day 136 of use I would definitely (instead of maybe) note that it tends to aim (work better when further away from the door) from the place where the clip is sticking out a bit from the top in the picture which is facing backwards if you have it on a visor folded up to the ceiling of your car.

This is my third remote from this company. The first two work great this one the battery is dead I have to buy a battery which costs 7 bucks. Can u mail me a new battery?
