This book is a comprehensive guide to frame loom weaving for the complete novice as well as those who have already discovered the frame loom weaving craze. It includes a brief history of weaving, useful tools and terminology, and a natural fibre and yarn index. The step-by-step tutorials cover everything from setting-up the loom through to finishing techniques and are accompanied by clear illustrations . Five contemporary beginner-friendly projects are included – all made with natural materials– including table napkins, a cushion cover, foldover purse and even a tubular woven totebag with no seams. Review: Useful book - Really good intro book. Loving learning technique and designing my own projects. Review: Really glad I ignored the negative review in Fel 2020. - I'm really enjoying this book. The opening pages are really informative and the photography is good. There's lots of information on techniques and detailed photos. Later there are patterns to show how to do plain weave, twill, herringbone and more. There's 5 projects, all with detailed photos and exact patterns where each pick placing is shown on a chart. The projects are a wall hanging, purse, placement, small cushion cover and a bag woven in the round. Not tried a project yet but really glad I bought this book. It complements Weaving by Mary Maddocks which has more projects but these are less detailed on the instructions and project photos.

Beautiful book for getting started on simpler looms.
It's for weaving on very basic cardboard or simple frame looms, including home made ones. It doesn't cover anything bigger like table top looms with moving parts. If that's what you want then this is the right book. It has a bit of weaving history and theory, then loads of patterns and projects. It's beautifully written and produced, excellent photos and very clear to follow.

Real Handweaving techniques!
Little Loom Weaving is written by a handwoven textile designer. The author has deconstructed harness loom techniques for frame loom weaving to create intricate fabric designs. Weave structures include bird's eye, twill, herringbone, basket weave and plain. Tapestry weaving and finishing techniques are also covered with excellent photos and diagrams. All of this can be accomplished on a simple frame loom or an even simpler handmade stretcher frame. Although great projects are included, the book isn't just project driven. The reader will find inspiration to design fabric!

Aha! Great Book for Beginning Weavers
Beautiful book with clear instructions, cross-references, and tasteful projects. Easy read, either cover to cover or by skipping around. I found it to be the equivalent of a three-day seminar that would have cost hundreds!

I love this book
I love this book. I've been weaving for awhile, but learned some new techniques. I love the photography in the book and the lessons. The projects are very nice. The attention to detail for the book itself - the cover is embossed and the pages feel wonderful as you turn them. Just a very good quality book with great information.
