great razor...ignore youtube reviews
great razor. good weight, nice adjustable feature that really works and easy to adjust. I have a number of double edge razors and so far this is the best one i own. I also have q shave's adjustable that pops open at the top but it's hard to get the top off with wet hands and adjust without slicing your finger open (already did that once). This one you don't have to worry since it's butterfly open. It doesn't clog if you shave like a normal person, meaning shave a few strokes and then run under water like most people do. I'm sure if you tried to shave 3 days worth of growth all at once in thick cream it would clog. the guys on youtube shave weird. never seen people try to shave their whole face in the same pass and complain the razor clogs. must be their first time shaving. Plus they shave really fast. easy way to get irritation and cuts. again, don't know anybody that shaves fast with a double edge razor. If you want to shave fast then get a gillette gazillion blade razor. Bottom line is it's solidly built, feels good in the hand, adjustable works, shaves cleanly and close and looks good as well.

Nice adjustable DE safety razor
I've been using this as my daily razor for a few months now and I like it. It's been tricky to find a decent adjustable DE safety razor w/ a chrome finish. I had a Merkur Futur and found its spring clip head fastener to be unreliable. The only issue I found with the Qshave Parthenon was I had to lube the adjuster because it got stuck. The handle is a bit longer than I'm used to, but doesn't cause any problems. Overall, a nice razor.

It's very good for the price
It's held up through the years. Didn't think it would become my go to. The numbers could be easier to read and the door could close better but it gives me a good face shave every time. I don't baby this razor but I do rinse it thoroughly, dry it after every use, don't leave it in the bathroom. I leave the blade in. The chrome finish has held up nice. It could defenitely be improved and I would be interested in a version 3 if they ever made one. I don't regret the money I spent on buying it. I just had a BBS with a Rockwell blade. Good razor.

FORM BEFORE FUNCTION
Pro: A good starter razor for beginners. It is forgiving. Con: Takes longer to shave compared with more aggressive razors like the Qshave Merkur clone. The handle is slippery and the locking nut cannot be turned without using a towel for grip. The marker for the number setting is faint- hard to see. I think experienced DE shavers will pass on this one.

Was decent until it broke after a few weeks
It broke after a few weeks. Happened a few weeks after being to long to return. The product version was then discontinued and the next model released at a higher price. I dont recommend this product for several reasons below. I also plan to never ever buy a safety razor from a cheap knock off china company ever again! The adjustment knob initially was stiff but worked. Then one day it just seemed to have snapped something inside and spins freely. Most vintage and respectable safety razors can be DIY adjusted. Common consensus is Qshave and also many cheap knock off safety razors from china are not repairable and have almost no hope of saving them. I tried and cant find any way to work on it. Its all very sad and frustrating. This is the 1st safety razor I bought and was disappointed with much of it. A few weeks later I inherited 2 vintage gillette razors. A 1958 Flare Tip and 1963 Slim Adjustable. Both were grungy and thanks to the internet found safe ways to clean them and get them working well. The Slim was misaligned on one side with and uneven gap between the butterfly door and the straight bar. After again looking to the internet found I could tweak it some and did so by hand a few times and checked until it warped back into place. And found many ways and all the tools needed to disassemble those gillette if needed. The qshave has no known way to take it apart or work on it. Why I got the razor? My wants were simple. I wanted to test out if I would want to get into traditional safety razor shaving as I wasnt sure if I would inherit those Gillette Razors. Price - Limits of $15 and ideally get some blades so I could get started Features - Wanted to try as many things as possible. Flat end to stand on, adjustable, and sounded nice with the magnet end Looks - Looked nice and good packaging Performance - The grooves are almost sharp and not comfortable, the closed top looks nice but doesnt drain well and the adjustment knob was not only very stiff but has almost no grip when wet to turn it Sounded all good but I was too ambitious. Too many wants. Id suggest anyone wanting a starter razor to do more research than just whats cheap as I did. Looks for a razor from a shaving wet shaving company not a big box company. There are a few choices at $15-20 and a decent number of choices at $20-30. Pretty much dont buy any safety razors made in china. Many good companies otherwise in North America, Europe and other places.

Very Impressed!
I’ve been using DE razors for many years and I have a large selection that I acquired over the years, all being name brands. After purchasing a few knock-offs and no names brands that were terrible. I haven’t purchased an off brand or low quality brand in years. Now, I come across the QSHAVE Parthenon Razor V2.0. Never heard of it or seen it before. Why I went against everything I practice, I’m not sure why I did? But I ordered it. After my first shave I was totally blown away! The shave was outstanding. The adjustment was smooth and gave me a great step down shave. Never thought I’d recommend a low budget razor, but I do recommend this one. For a adjustable at half the price of all I own, you can’t go wrong. Try it out!

Great if you get a good one
Bear in mind these are from China, and with a low price comes a lower QC level, meaning the chances for a defective product are higher. so you may wish to buy 2 and return whatever one is lower quality. That said, if you get a good one, this is a solid razor, a very nice upgrade over the Ming Shi 3000s / QSHAVE razor. My only complaint is that the handle is more slippery, so take your time when handling this razor.

A good product
Long handle but,Not a close shave...but, the butterfly type razor is easy to put a blade into. And if you take out the blade to clean and dry after every use (makes the blade last longer)… it's a good product. A little overpriced but, hey! it's got a magnet in the bottom to help get that blade that keeps running away!
