Love love love this thing!
This is the cheapie version of this tool???!!!That’s what I was told when trying to get support regarding one of the applications. First of all, $300 isn’t really cheap. More importantly, while it may lack some convenient features or attributes from its more expensive counterparts, it’s performing exceptionally well to suit my needs.I use this thing regularly at work, and there are still things I discover it can do. It has WiFi, Ethernet, and hotspot. It tests Ethernet and BNC cables. It’s a spot monitor for analog and IP cameras. It’s a toner if you purchase the probe. It not only provides 12V connection for analog cameras, but up to 48V PoE for IP connections. This thing has detected cameras that other NVRs wouldn’t, which allows me to not only verify if the device is good or not, but also get into the settings of the devices to make configuration changes such as passwords, factory resets, IP settings, etc.I could keep going on for a long time about all of its features but I’ll just say this: if you’re on a budget, this thing is the way to go. It’s Android based and gives you full access to the entire system. You can download extra APKs or do updates, and if you’re savvy enough, even change the default boot app.The only drawback I’d say is the battery. It doesn’t last that long, but for everything else it does, I can deal with that. Highly recommended.

Great for CCTV testing
This little tester is great for testing camera systems. It allows you to quickly find IP addresses to resolve problems. The video quality is great. A handy tool for sure!

It could have been better.
This device works quite well. The only thing is that you need to manually remember and enter the IP address - it does not switch automatically when scanning. The cameras can be programmed and adjusted. A good cable tester that clearly shows the wire map and signal attenuation on individual pairs. The wireless network operates in the 2.4 GHz range, this must be taken into account when organizing a connection via a hot spot - on iPhones, for example, you need to turn on the “maximize compatibility” switch.Although it must be admitted that a cable tester sometimes shows all sorts of gags: Either a wet cable, or electromagnetic interference, then everything is fine - you have to double-check, or better in such conditions, just reboot the device to clear the “brains”.In general, for the money it’s very efficient, I must admit.

Used this on a 10 week IP camera installation project.
I had to play around with this a little bit to figure out the best routine for my specific installation requirements. But it worked well and got the job done. Worked well on Axis cameras. However if the camera doesn't have an ONVIF user and password setup the onvif app will show an error. You can get by this by clicking on the menu and selecting "web page" which will take you to the initial configuration of the camera. Where you can set everything up. Battery life was great as long as you turn off the PoE between cameras. I never had the battery run down on any of the 10 hour install sessions. The Chrome browser does need to be updated for some of the newer axis cameras, but that's a minor update. I did see some other reviews of similar products with complaints of the battery not taking a charge after a while. You need to keep the physical on-off switch flipped to on to charge this properly. I believe the switch is a battery disconnect. So keep it on for charging. The light will be on during charging and off when it is done. Overall the thing ran great for the 300 or so cameras that I installed. Also a handy feature is post install if the cameras are on a network with wireless access you can use this to connect to the wireless and pull up all the cameras. Although I do recommend enabling ONVIF on the cameras to make this much easier.

Defective unit... Poor support response..
Update - The seller EVERSECU finally promised to send the replacement defective part. Unfortunately, the part never arrived and subsequent emails to seller received no response. If you have problems with your purchase from this seller, I would suggest you use the Amazon messaging system to help hold this seller accountable for any promises made or return the product before your 30 days are up.On the unit that I received, the cable test function failed to test five different factory terminated Cat5e, Cat6 cables that were verified as good with another cable tester. Screen calibration is slightly off with no adjustment options available. Some of the applications are outdated and discontinued. Contacted the seller through multiple messages but only received replies with no solutions. I was instructed to contact the support group in China and after more than a dozen emails, the problem has still not been resolved. After I requested a replacement for a defective part (remote dongle), no reponse has been received from this company. I will have to return this unit since the vendor does not support the products they sell. There are several sellers for this particular model and they are all the same unit. It's a good unit if you get one that works as designed so make sure you test all the functions fully before your 30 days are up and find a seller who actually provides sincere support.
