12 in. Mason Tower Bee House

This is beautiful and well-made. Unfortunately, ours got wet. If I buy it again, I will need to keep it more protected form the rain.

So after about two weeks hanging up I have my 1st mason bee checking it out. Seems it cannot make up its mind which bamboo tube to use. (You can see it hovering in the 3rd pix.) I have the unit facing South to try and prevent some rain from getting in, but sacrificed full morning sun, which they do prefer.Suggestions for improvement:1. Instead of the bamboo tubes, which vary greatly in hole diameters, I would have gone with mason bee tubes instead. Reason is they are a standard hole size mason bees prefer. With bamboo, some holes are way too big, some way too small, which limits the number of bees per unit that can move in.2. The screw slot in the back has a good chance of cracking and breaking over time. I still used it but added additional support at the top using picture frame hanging hardware. Lowes, Home Depot or Walmart often carry these.3. Item came unfinished, which is good because some finishing materials are actually toxic to bees. I covered the tubes with painter's tape and lightly coated the outside ONLY with Johnson's wood preservative. Otherwise here in SW FL, I'd be lucky if this lasted a year, with all the sun and rain we get.

I'm sure the bees will love it too!

No bees have taken to it yet, but I purchased it later in the summer so I'm sure they'll move in next year! It fits in beautifully on my wooden fence behind my garden! I'm excited to see the pollinators in it!

I had heard some good things about Bambeco so I was excited to receive and use this bee house. When I received it (see photos), it was poorly made, pieces were missing and/or sticking far out of the house. I returned it and will think twice before purchasing any of their items in the future.

This is super cute and perfect for my little bee haven I’m creating in my garden. I unfortunately was not able to put it out in time this year so we will see if the bees like it next spring. ❤️

Item is as advertised. I will have a better idea of its success when the solitary bees' nesting season occurs, but based on prior experience, I think this bee house will be utilized by our local bees. An attractive design, as well, for human viewers.

This is my second bee house. In one week it's almost full. Love it!
