Now that I have this, my digital scales that I used in the kitchen almost never see use. This thing has a nice old fashioned appeal and never needs batteries. Nice.

After resisting getting a 'real' kitchen scale for entirely too long, we decided on this Escali, partially for looks. Well, this is a both a looker and a performer. The removable bowl is perfect for both weighing and for doing things like whisking eggs for pasta or dry ingredients for other baking needs. Cleans like a dream. The tare function is good, and the accuracy against known quantities is appropriate within the precision of the measuring dial. It is lightweight enough as a unit that we can drag it around our kitchen and prep area without much fuss, and the analog aspect makes us happy. Digital is not always better.

This is a replacement of my last Escali Scale. The last one was damaged badly.... hence replacement.I had my first one for about three years and used it for bread making, measuring spices and other ingredients. This is one product that really can not live with out. It works great and looks great. The bowl comes off to wash or to add ingredients to and then place back on the scale.As far as it being accurate, I feel totally confident with it weighing grams (metric) or pounds and ounces.I highly recommend this. If you like that old school look and not looking for a digital, this is great.

It’s an attractive, mostly metal scale that’s as least as accurate as comparable scales and looks nice on the countertop. Required installation is unfortunately flawed by silly packaging. The assembly screws for the bracket that holds the bowl are shipped screwed into the bracket, rather than in a small bag. It’s not that they’re screwed in too tight to loosen, it’s that they’re screwed into hidden nuts and you have to (of course) stabilize the nuts with a wrench in order to unscrew the screws. The silliness of this turns into insanity in the context of absolutely no provided instructions and no provided tools.

It's accuracy has been checked and ... close enough for kitchen work! It's beautiful and easy to clean up. It has a slightly higher capacity then many so pulls more weight around the kitchen (I know, ... that's bad. Suck it up buttercup!) Recommended Strongly for those wanting a mechanical scale.

I purchased this scale because of the overall rating, customer satisfaction, appearance and functionality. It looks great on my countertop, so it is right there every time I need it no digging it out of a cabinet needed. I did not need or want a scale that was digital so this was a great buy for me.

Second attempt at using these scales to weigh clay. Both of the scales broke within weeks-months.

Third time's the charm. First bought another brand, got it and defective, returned. Ordered the Escali - got it, the rack that held the pan was missing! Clearly the box had been opened and probably returned already. However, I really liked the look of the scale so took a chance and just did an exchange and got another one that had all the parts. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Glad I didn't give up. It was a bit hard for me to get the screws undone to install the rack to hold the weighing pan, you need a socket screwdriver as well as a screwdriver. I persevered and an so very, very pleased with the scale. Would not hesitate to buy again. Highly recommend.

It’s a nice scale! It works well for its intended use in my home which is for baking, so it’s mostly got flour and sugars weighed on it but it’s perfect

It’s a little pricy for what it is but I really like it. I wanted something that look more vintage. It look perfect. It is super accurate and look really good

Being 89 and with arthritic hands I could not put the piece that holdsthe dish together.It just needs 2 screws removed and the unit put in place and then thescrews replaced.I had to wait for my son to come and do it.Great scale...just be aware of this small problem.Maybe it was in the write-up about it and I just overlooked it.Overall I am very pleased with it.
