I've been using the generic Dove deodorant for the last 2 years and Dove in general for the last 6 years, and I have always gotten deodorant stains in the pits of my shirts, and it was particularly noticeable in the last two years. Dove uses aluminum, aluminum supposedly causes stains, therefore I wanted to switch to a "Natural Deodorant". I also had issues with the Dove leaving residue on my armpits that was difficult to clean when showering. This was not my first choice of natural deodorant, but the first one I bought of a different brand was made with baking soda and it burned my pits and caused redness and irritation. I bought this Sensitive Skin type because it doesn't have baking soda. For this, I will give it credit, as far as I could tell, it didn't causing burning or redness or itchiness. That is about all I liked about this deodorant. What did I dislike?1) It was very thick, and residue would gather up into balls in the fold of my armpit. I had to scrape it off every time I showered, so this was barely an improvement on the Dove, if not a measurable un-improvement2) It smells awful. Because it was the only option for baking soda free from this brand, I didn't really pay attention to the smell. It's Calendula & Sage. I know there are people out there who like the smell, but to me it smells similar to Tiger Balm, and I hate it.3) My BO smell was awful. I've heard that switching to Natural deodorants will of course lead to more BO smell as PH changes and all that other marketing nonsense, but it was awful. I NEVER smelled when wearing the Dove, and when wearing this deodorant I would start stinking not long after showering and just sitting around. I think the calendula & sage smell actually made my BO smell 10x worse. I know "Natural" deodorants aren't anti-antiperspirants, but I would literally start stinking immediately.4) It's not an anti-antiperspirant. I think it's marketing nonsense that anti-antiperspirants actually cause you to sweat more. I also think it is nonsense that the aluminum in the deodorant (the main factor in antiperspirants) has a significantly negative impact on people. Maybe I'm wrong, it rubs me the wrong way to get a pamphlet saying "This is your body expelling all the nasty ingredients from your previous toxic deodorant." That sounds like a bunch of bs, not scientific at all.Altogether, I used probably less than half the stick (which is actually pretty small) before going back and forth with my old Dove stick and the other "Natural" deodorant that was giving me a bad reaction (YES! The smell was so disgusting that I preferred the deodorant that was physically hurting me!).I couldn't even really tell if this helped with stains because I wore it so little that I didn't re-wear the same shirts enough for stains to build up.I changed my subscription to the scentless stick from the same brand this month and it is already much better. First, the baking soda isn't burning me, so I feel safe using it. Second, even though it is scentless, and wow! I can't believe it is super scentless, it has done a pretty good job managing my own body odor. I was out and about all day in the hot sun and I had minimal smell by the time I entered a shower. It also didn't clump up or leave a residue. So everything I've hated about this Calendula and Sage deodorant has not been an issue with any of the other ones I've tried in the last two months.

“Natural” but works great!
The only “natural” deodorant that doesn’t leave you smelling like BO. Doesn’t leave a rash, doesn’t smell, works great! It’s a bit pricy but worth it if you are looking to avoid aluminum in your deodorant.

So glad they came up with a sensitive option
Awhile back I bought a 3-pack of the original version of this product. I was so excited to find a natural deodorant that actually works. It took awhile for me to realize that I’m intolerant to baking soda, which make pits itchy and brown (?!?) So far so good on this one!

Totally Effective and Natural
I LOVE this deodorant and the price is worth it--it absolutely works, it is safe and natural, and has a mild smell that does not clash with my other products. I have eczema and it does not irritate my skin in any way--in fact, the calendula and sage are quite moisturizing and soothing. I was skeptical at first, but I have been using this for months now and it is totally effective for me. Will buy again.

Pretty decent, not as much odor control as original
After using the unscented original version for about a year or so, I began to get a painful rash under my arms that made the area very dark. I figured it was most likely the baking soda, so I tried this version. The sensitive skin deodorant has not given me a rash so far, however I find it is not as good at odor control as the original. I find myself having to reapply midday or else I will start to smell a bit (didn't have this issue with the original one at all). To remedy this I have been applying the sensitive skin, then adding a tiny bit of the original on top of that. I find that this has been working to control odor yet not give me a rash *fingers crossed*.

Great for sensitive skin, a little lacking in odor protection
I had been using Green Tidings deodorants for months because other deodorants weren't effective for the smell. Then suddenly, I started getting red bumps on my underarms and general discoloration of my skin there. I switched to the Sensitive Skin type, and my redness went away within probably a week. The only issue is, it's not as strong for dealing with odor, so I have to reapply it during the day. I go back and forth between Jasmine Rose and Sensitive Skin as needed.

Decent Natural Deodorant
The first day was wonderful and no odor at all. Now I am having body odor pretty soon after putting it on. The great part is that my arm pits are no longer itching like they were with other deodorants...That alone is worth it to me. Now if I can just get some help with the odor as well.

Best yet
I have tried many natural deodorants and this is the best so far. I bought the lavender and the scent is very subtle. It works well all day. I do put it on at night again, maybe I'm too fussy. This goes on easily and leaves no gunk on your armpits.
