worth the money
My original skimmer basket came with the house, so it’s probably over 20 years old. Recently, I noticed it had become brittle with age—when I pressed on it, it shattered instantly. It was definitely time for a replacement.I looked at several options, but the OEM one was too expensive. This skimmer basket offered great value for the price, so I decided to give it a try. It turns out to be completely functional. It’s about an inch shorter than the original, and the support around the rim is slightly different, but these don’t affect its usability. It fits well in the skimmer without any gaps.Another issue I met was it is difficult to get the handle after covering with a skimmer socket.Not perfect, but absolutely usable.

These baskets are not sturdy enough for our pool
Our pool gets a lot of tree debris in the spring and fall. Unfortunately, these baskets were not sturdy enough to handle the leaves, oak blossom, and flower petals we get this time of year. When the crabapple petals start falling, we need to empty the skimmer baskets 3 or 4 times a day for about a week. These baskets lasted 2 days. The top lip is not as wide as the previous baskets we've used and could not take the load after a windy night - they were sucked down into the skimmer area where the baskets sit (I've never had that happen with my old baskets). After turning off the pool pump to relieve the pressure, they were both stuck down at the bottom of the skimmer area. The picture is after pulling them out using a screwdriver - which mangled the baskets and was a lot of work. The basket on the right also split open, which you can see on the far-right side of the picture. These baskets may work for you if you only need a light-duty basket for a few leaves or bugs, but we need something much more sturdy. I'll be going back to my old more-expensive plastic baskets or Instant-Pot large metal mesh baskets.
