Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Hard Shell Neoprene 16" Backpack

My 6 year old son just absolutely loves it! His super-hero craving got him this.The shelled outer zip is so huge that he has had a football in it for 3 weeks now and none of us knew. My son (5) loves this backpack. We've had it about 9 months and it's held up well, even niw that he's in kindergarten.It's not a standard sized backpack, but it is big enough for the main compartment to have a full sized folder, lunch box and a few other things (I believe a binder and books can fit as well).The shell part is really cool- it's ery sturdy and holds way more than I expected.Pros: the design is cool, quality is excellent, lasts long, holds up well to abuse, has a plastic bottom that helps protect the fabric is placed on the ground, is good for smaller kids (like my kindergartener), holds a fair amount of thingsCons: in the shell pocket, things can slip under the bump out part, allowing lazy children to believe they've lost something (and causing a semi-meltdown) when in actuality, the belonging is lower down and requires the panicked child to use their problem solving skills to reach below the shell (I know that's not really a con).

We always run into difficulty finding backpacks to hold up to my 8 year old. He tears them all up so fast that I gave up on buying anything nice.I saw his most recent cheapie backpack had a strap coming unstitched so I figured I'd go ahead and order a new one that might be more durable.When I opened the box, I was surprised to see how durable it looks! The bottom has rubber spikes all over so it seems like maybe he won't wear holes in it as easily now...He is very pleased with the whole look of it as he is a TMNT fan. Of course he is thrilled to have his own shell too!

This backpack is one of the few things that my Kindergartener and I both adore. Being a TMNT fan, he loves it, while I appreciate its functionality.It's a perfect size for a young elementary schooler - fits everything he needs without being too big, the shell pouch is a useful storage space, and he can carry his water bottle pouch on the side.

My 6 year old great-nephew loved his backpack so much, he immediately ripped off his other one when his Dad showed up after school with this one. I'm so happy to have gotten video of his reaction. Your kid would appreciate this for good grades if they're a fan! Splurge/do it!

My son is using this as his kindergarten backpack. He loves it, and it fits a school folder and lunch box easily. The shell unzips to reveal a large storage, can easily fit a football. I haven't seen another child at his school with this backpack!I would definitely buy again!

My son picked this out for his school backpack. It's a really cool basic bag with just the 2 large pockets. He loves it and is excited to start school and so excited to but all his stuff in it. The only thing I'm a little concerned about is the straps on the back seem to be off center. I'm hoping this won't effect the way he carries the bag.

Very good quality. All of the adults in the office thought it was awesome, and the kid who received it loved it. Would highly recommend. Not made of any of that cheap vinyl material. Strong zippers and adjustable padded straps.
