My letter opener came on the duller side. I had thousands of letters to open and I had dulled it completely after about 200. It did not fit in my electric sharpener so I had to purchase a handheld one. After sharpening it's back in use and it does the job. I've had to sharpen it 3 times now but I realized that would happen. The handle is nice on both sides so you can flip it over once the one side dulls. I do think the blade is on the thick side and it might be better to have a thinner one for certain envelopes.

This is Westcott’s best letter opener. Fantastic grip and the blade is solidly in place.

I first bought this four or five years ago and it broke when I dropped it after daily use for several years. The handle is great and doesn't hurt your hand after opening 30+ envelopes daily.

This was a disappointment. The handle cracked and eventually broke at the hilt of the blade (where the handle was molded around the blade) and rendered it useless. Not the best product.

This is a nice sharp letter opener!-- My only gripe with it is the dreadful color combination! Of course, it won't get lost too easily!

I doubt you will find a better opener. I have had several and this beats them all. Easily opens any envelope

A good-quality letter opener. Lightweight, good grip (though I preferred the grip on the prior version), slices through envelopes. The titanium should make it durable.

Had this exact opener at work & was perfect. This one snagged on the envelopes using either side of the blade instead of continuing. Maybe quality changed since then or a one off? Other buyers said theirs were working as intended.
