This is a very well made and nice product but note that this absolutely will not work correctly with a Wilton 4-in device because the magnets line up exactly perfect with the screw holes that bolt the jaws on the device and it doesn't get a good magnetic connection. But they are very well made and I really wish these out of work. If they were only with larger magnets or if the magnet went all the way across they would be perfect and an excellent alternative to some of the more expensive ones

These fit easily on my vise with the magnets (3 on each soft jaw) holding them in position. Soft material, hard surfaced enough to hold an object securely but not leave a mark. As luck would have it I had a use for the soft jaws the next day and where the cut-steel of the vise would have ruined the project the soft jaws worked far better than trying to improvise with cloths or rubber strips. A great addition to any vise as long as you've taken the effort to even get a vise to hold your work, the range of tasks you can handle is much greater.

EDIT: I earlier wrote the review below but it was very premature and rewrote the review and have since modified these soft jaws. See pics and now I’ve noticed that the magnets have lost there strength to almost zero holding power and constantly falling off at the slightest touch, very annoying. If you read below you'll understand the reason why I modified the soft jaws by removing the top magnets and milling down the aluminum section significantly down to only 5/64" thick to eliminate the jaws from moving while trying to hold something. I also grinded down the magnets on backside to make them flush with the aluminum section to sit better against the hard vise jaw. Works a million times better and now happy with them. I'm totally frustrated by these soft jaws to the point that I went back using the older ones. These jaws cant hold anything small without rising up constantly; I'm finding them useless. I would try many different ways to hold small items and tighten but wold never succeed. Only good when having to clamp something low in the soft jaws. See my 3rd & 5th picture. Piece in 3rd picture would not stay in place, does not work. The issue/flaw is the design portion is the top of the soft jaw, There's too much of it. They protrude too high above the fixed jaws creating leverage/fulcrum point causing the jaws to wedge up, come loose and separate. For this not to happen you have to clamp the center of item near half way down the fixed jaw or lower. My older soft jaw (silver) in pic can have the same problem but not nearly as bad and my older ones had more cushion and protection especially higher up where there's very little protection from the aluminum section. For me, these new jaws are useless to me. They're fine for clamping large items low in the jaws and accessing piece from side and why they get 2 stars instead of 1 star. Premature and flawed review below: I have a Wilton C0 3-1/2" Bullet vise and lately find myself using soft jaws on it more than not. I have milled my own copper jaws and live oak jaws for it but finding it's nice having the versatility of quickly changing to hard jaws to soft jaws. I purchased the 4" wide ones and sliced the ends to match my jaw width. Only took a couple of seconds on the bandsaw cut them down (Olson 10 tpi blade from Amazon), cuts easy and cleanly. Not sure if I like the gold color but it may grow on me. The rubber jaw portion are soft, There's plenty of cushion in the middle of pads and won't bottom out when clamping something hard, it grips well and comes back to original shape after heavy compression (no memory), I'm pretty happy in that regards, the top rubber edge has a lot less rubber behind it than the middle because of the aluminum extrusion. Two issues: the top of the jaws are pretty tall, that creates leverage that causes the jaws to tilt out at an angle and raise up a bit when you have to clamp something high up to get access on the top of it (see pic 4), the do eventually hold firm but would prefer they didn't do this. The second issue is the magnets, they're much better than my pervious soft jaws with old magnets (Pic 3), those would infuriate me with them constantly falling off, these are much better but still slide off some, they do NOT stay on rock solid, the magnets could be much better. One issue that I think prevents the magnets sticking well to your hard jaws is that if you have serrated jaws, especially uneven, well used jaws will prevent the magnets getting a good contact. Overal, for twelve bucks they're pretty good and do the job good enough

I very happy with these soft pads. There are two magnetic strips that run the entire length of each pad that securely affix the pads to my vice's jaws. The material is a study plastic, so if you are looking for a more malleable rubber grip, this is not that. After looking at dozens of grips on Amazon and finally settling on these, I can happy with my purchase.
