I own 23 different safety razors. These razors range from many price points and styles. I have a few vintage Gillettes, Vikings Blade, Merkur, Muhle, Timeless, Phoenix Artisan Accouterments, Pearl, and a few others. Out of all of them, this Rockwell 2c is by far the smoothest and most comfortable I own. When I got the razor there was a chip in the plating on the cap. Me being me and not reading over the Rockwell warranty details, I just went ahead and ordered a new cap from their website. After the order was placed and I started navigating their site, I found the warranty information. They will replace any damaged or broken parts free of charge within 60 days of you receiving your razor, then still replace any damaged or broken parts after the 60 days, you just have to cover shipping. So I immediately contacted their customer service and asked if I could just get a 2/4 base plate added to my order since it was the same price as the cap, to make up the difference. Within a few hours they replied and added the 2/4 plate free of charge! I am very happy with their customer service! Now onto the performance, this razor is built like a tank. The handle threads onto the cap without slop and tightens down securely and stays put throughout the shave. It feels great in the hand and is balanced well. I found the 1 setting to be useless for me but the 3 setting shaved beautifully! It was still just a little too mild for my liking but I could easily use it every day with no complaints. It cut down on irritation dramatically compared to some of my other razors that I deemed “smooth”. This razor truly is comfortable to shave with. I received the 2/4 plate, as talked about above, the other day and setting 4 is just what I needed. It’s the perfect aggression for my skin and beard. But still incredibly smooth! With that being said, and with anything involving shaving, YMMV. All in all I am thrilled to have this in my collection and since getting it, my other razors have begun to collect dust. I reach for this one daily. I would highly recommend this razor to anyone, new or experienced, it will serve you well. The 3 plate I feel could work for about anyone, but you may end up looking into another plate for more aggression. Great razor, great company, and a great shave!

I think everything's really been said. Don't knock it because it's the cheapest option: It definitely feels like the most expensive product you can get. This is my first safety razor as a young man. For my relatively sensitive skin, the two options are actually pretty stellar. This is the perfect introduction to this kind of product, because the options here are perfectly suited for just checking to see if this kind of product is too harsh for your face. For me, definitely not too harsh. I've even used this to shave my arms with great success. like everyone else is saying, this razor feels heavy, is made of solid metal, is very easy to use for this type of product, and feels like you spent more like $70 to $80. The only reason that this product is cheaper than the one just above it in their product line is that this one does not have all six options for how harsh or how gentle you want your shave. This one only has two. The only reason that that product is half as much as the product just above that one is that the metal is not produced in America, just like this one. Neither of those compromises bother me, so this is the ideal product for me. For the price, it's genuinely laughable how high quality this razor is. Like I said, there is astonishingly little to distinguish this much cheaper product from their higher end razors. The metal is heavy, the locking mechanism is ridiculously secure, and the whole shaving experience feels better than any other I've ever had using any tool in my entire life. I'll round out my review by saying this: watch a few videos online about how to use a safety razor safely beforehand, and you will have absolutely no problems. I've had zero injuries, using this razor on my face and body, and from the first time I used it I felt comfortable using it forever. And that's part of it; I genuinely think I'm going to be handing this down to my children's children. VERY GOOD.

This is a beautiful, well made razor. The quality is top notch. Shaves perfectly. I tried 1 and it was a little mild for me. But beginners will appreciate it and be able to learn how to use a double edge razor quick. Then using the plate flipped to 3 it gave quite a remarkable shave! Highly recommended. Additional note: I was being kind originally here but I thought I might not be helping others. This razor’s plate used on 1 is not like the typical double edged non-adjustable razor. For those who do shave with a double edge razor, and are looking for a different/new razor, the only useable plate number for you will be 3. The 3 plate setting is similar to a non-adjustable open comb razor. But 1 is for beginners only.

This is my first safety razor, and so far I'm very pleased with my purchase. High quality, weighty product. It came with easy-to-follow instructions for adjusting the razor for different skin and whisker types. The packaging held everything securely in place for shipping and is easy to recycle because it's just paper - no plastic anywhere. I've only shaved with it a few times, but are pleased with the results. It feels great in the hand. My only suggestion for improvement would be to include some tips for safety razor shaving for us noobs. A QR code leading to a list of pointers or a video on their website would do the trick. Not a big deal though - YouTube is full of such things.

Excelente aparelho, pesado, eficiente, para mim a graduação n. 3 é a ideal, e eficiente e não agressivo, bem acabado, polido, digno representante da marca Rockwell, recomendo a aquisição.

OK, this is a great razor. great weight, great grip. it comes with a 1-3 plate. I first used it on plate3, or .48mm gap. for a 2-3 day growth it's great. then I tried plate1. or 20mm gap. wow it cut NOTHING. To be clear I would have to do 10 passes to even see anything at all. It's just way too mild at gap .20mm. Now I have more then 1 razor. for a gap of .50 or so I use 34c merkur or r89 muhle. So I felt I waisted some money. UNTIL, a ha, I put in a shim on gap .20mm. simple cut out the edges of a spent de blade and inserted it right after I put in a new blade and WOW. yes its very mild now but I figure it now gives me . 30-32mm and just that change give me a BBshave on a regular 3 pass shave with 1 days growth. So now it does something no other razor does for me in my collection. Just in case you ask, rockwell sells the 2-4 plate ( .35mm-.61mm) for 25 canadian dollar, the shim cost me NOTHING.

Excellant razor. But blades are not good. Rockwell blades are not sharp. Rs. 1/- swish blade is more better than this one. My pack of 100 blades are waste. Waste of my money to purchase these blades.

Seré honesto me he rasurado con máquinas eléctricas de las que tiene muchos cabezales (no cortaba bien y me lastimaba), me compre una navaja libre (qué me causó múltiples cortes aunque me gustaba el rasurado al raz, pero por ser tan peligrosa me rasuraba lento), me compre una maquina especial para afeitado semi al raz (nada satisfecho con la sensación), y claro los rastrillos (la verdad nunca tuve problemas con ellos pero solo duraban unos días y no sentía que valiera la pena el costo). Desde que compré este rastrillo de seguridad obtengo un rasurado perfecto, al raz, y sin cortes (literal tienes que querer cortarte para hacerlo y aun así estoy seguro que sería difícil) es lo que buscaba y los repuestos son super baratos comparados con rastrillos. Uso el número 3 ya que me rasuro cada 2 días y no me causa irritación ni pelos encarnados.
