I purchased 12 of these placemats (total 3 sets). These are just what I wanted. They are made with real denim, wash and wear nicely and make my table look great.

These placemats are absolutely wonderful and very well made. As you can see from the picture, with a full sized charger on a placemat, they are a good size. Because they're advertised as being "non slip" I assumed they would have some sort of backing on them, but they do not (which I am actually grateful for). I haven't washed them yet so I can't speak to how they'll hold up, but I think they'll look even better as they age - sort of like your favorite old denim shirt. I bought 2 packages and glad I did. UPDATE: I've now washed some of the place mats. Just threw them in the washer and dryer with a load of jeans. They stayed true to size sith barely a wrinkle. Added a after-wash photo.

These are really very cute (I just love the utensil pocket!) but they are not true “placemats”, however, I do a lot of sewing so I can easily work with them. They are just regular denim material, not heavy denim, with no padding at all, so if you put a hot dinner plate on them they would provide no protection to your table. I was really surprised after I got them that no one commented on their lightweight nature in a review. That being said, I really do like them and they were inexpensive so I bought padded placemats at Big Lots which I will easily sew to the backs of these. If you want heavier placemats and don’t want to go through a little bit of extra effort you may not be happy with them.

These placemats are perfect for our kitchen and dining area… They are casual and durable being denim, but also so unique and adorable with a functional back pocket on the right side! You could actually use it for a napkin or silverware! I wash them on cold and dry on low and they are still like new.

These are ok,,they are not all the same size and they are thin .

With the exception of just one small issue, I really like these placemats. The style is simple, yet enough to bring in some charm. The fabric is soft and irons easily. The size is great, not too big, not too small. I had only one problem, and that is that one placemat had a minor stitching error on the pocket which is noticeable (see picture). I'm hoping that the company will replace that one for me as it is noticeable. Other than that, I am very happy with these placemats.

These are so cute, color is just as shown, and they are so pretty on my table. I’m not sure about washing them, I haven’t as yet had to. The cute pocket on the mat is small but not unassuming. You can use them year round.
