Will this product work on trainers

I have sprayed it on the inside of several pairs of my trainers, including a pair of suede trainers, but the important thing is, that whatever material the trainer is made of, you must use the spray on the inside of the trainer not on the outside.

Would this be suitable for climbing shoes?

I would assume it might soften them up just as well as any other type of shoe. But I don't know if it'd make you climb any better.
