Cheap and useful
Really happy with this product not only because of the price but because of the quality. Got this for my niece and nephew for their birthday and they loved it.

Cheap toy
they don't get very good reception, a lot of interference, no private connections so you get all sorts of creeps coming through them trying to lure kids and talking nasty to them. I stopped letting my son play with them. They also require new batteries quite often.

Great Product!
I purchased these walkie talkies for a 5 year old for Christmas, so he hasn't tried them out yet. However, my husband and I inserted the batteries and tried them out before wrapping them up. They worked great indoors, which is where they'll be used primarily while the little guy's younger I went from room to room downstairs, and then went upstairs, and they were still very clear. The reviews I read before purchasing said they were good outdoors in open areas for some distance. Also, the talk-button is larger and will be easy for a child to push and hold. Bonus is the flash light--he'll love that too.

Fine for kids
They’re good walkie talkies. The sound quality isn’t amazing. I sometimes have a hard time understanding person on the other end. The “sturdiness” of it is lacking. Feels like cheaper plastic. I got this for my boys just for fun. I don’t know if I would use for emergencies or anything like that.

So these are for kids but not really meant for a 10 yr old. Not really durable and they are very light. No way to charge them which I should have read that before buying. Sending them back for a little better quality.
