Great brand, high quality binders, good features, strong rings
The most important feature, for me, is strong rings that don't get mis aligned. I like the clear plastic covers and spine for placing labels. I use these every year for tax returns, financial documents, and important correspond. As for an improvement, how about a finger hole like the European standard binders ? It makes them easier to pull out from a shelf.

It requires sturdy products and this binder fits the bill
At first I thought the 2" binder would be too big. But after I finished the first binder with the start of my project, I found that 2" was just about right. I have no doubt that for ordinary paper this binder would, indeed, have held 500 pages. But I am in the midst of archiving photographs from about 50 years of collecting. By archiving, I mean that I am securing photos and other documents onto card stock, placing in cover sheets and placing in the binder - all with acid-free products, including acid-free photo corners, acid-free card stock and acid-free cover sheets in an acid-free binder. The capacity for this project per binder is 60-65 sheets. It requires sturdy products and this binder fits the bill. The only issue I have had is shifting the pages from one side to the other - but that may have to do with the thickness of the pages rather than a fault of the binder itself. One thing I would have liked would have been protective acid-free plastic sheet protectors to place at the first and last of the archived photos for easier turning of pages.

Best folders I've ever used
I gave a family history project to all my relatives for Christmas this year, and these folders were perfect for it. I never realized how awful most folders are with their round rings, that are hard to open, and that make such a loud noise when we shut them. And these come with unusually nice pockets in the front and back. I thought I'd miss having color options, but I think the white turned out nicer. And we could add any color we want by sticking a pretty piece of cardstock in the spine and the front & back covers.

Theoretical Avery Heavy Duty Binders
Pro - made in Mexico instead of China Con - Flimsiest "Heavy Duty" Avery binders I have ever handled. Very light weight and covers flex as if there is no cardboard support between the vinyl covers. No clue how long they will last but they sure don't feel like it will be long. Wife using them for recipe storage so they get handled a lot. Time will tell.

Hold up well
I use these binder for my classes and they work the best. I have tried the standard duty, but the clasp for them keeps opening up. These hold up well when you have a lot of paper in them. I also like the two inside pockets on the front and back which are good for the extra handout that my students get. My only con is that if you would like to add a spine label it can be difficult to feed the paper down through it.

Not heavy enough for me
I sent these back. I did not feel they were heavy duty enough. I thought the vinyl was thin for the price.

Easy open binders
I love the D ring binders and these are made well, open and close easily. Nicely priced.
