Really liking the flavor and the effect. Works very well for me.
I was looking for this particular brand of workout beverage because I'd had very good results with an older version of it in another flavor. What i like about it especially, it the light flavor. They say to add 2.5 scoops (scoop included) to about 20 oz bottle, so you'd think that would be either over the top sweet or salty. It is neither. And I workout hard dragon-boating for an extended period of time, watering up with this as my water during the workout and it has never let me down. I feel clear-headed, not shaky, hydrated and have a good amount of energy to sustain me.Highly recommended.

Save money and eat whole foods.
I've consumed all of the tub I received as SWAG for a race and I really like the taste of the orange and it's easy to mix. I'm a mountain bike racer and I used it after my interval training sessions. I could not notice any difference in recovery while using PowerBar recovery and in looking at the ingredients I don't see anything special that would aid in muscle repair/recovery that you couldn't get eating whole foods. I guess if you're in a hurry after a workout and don't have time to eat, this is better than nothing. Otherwise, save some money, eat a bowl of whole-grain oatmeal with fresh fruit and have a banana. If you need the sodium, try a sodium tablet in your water during exercise. Everyone is different, but I can't imagine how, based on the known ingredients, that anyone can claim this aids in muscle recovery.

Sugary
So I've been trying this product for about a month now. It tastes exactly like Gatorade and has about the same consistency. It's a bit sugary, so it'll make your saliva a bit thick like when you eat a jolly rancher. Good luck spitting while cycling. As far a nutrition goes, I've yet to bonk or cramp while using the Powerbar drink. It goes down smooth, its not very acidic, and hasn't bloated me. By comparison Accelerade is too acidic for me to drink during races and causes me to bloat and fart. Heed is a favorite of mine because it isn't sugary, isn't acidic, and doesn't cause me to bloat, but it costs more money. So, this Powerbar drink is a nice balance between performance and economics for my needs.

Tastes pretty good, lots of sodium
This is my go-to drink and got me through an Ironman without cramping as well as all the training. If you mix it just as it says, it actually does not taste anything like the bottled product. So for that I'm docking it a star, as it tastes much better in the bottle. Although, it is a little too sugary out of the bottle. Maybe if I mix 30%+ more it will taste closer to the real thing. Haven't tried that yet. Sodium content allows me to take less salt tabs in the heat. I'm a heavy sweater so I need my elctrolytes replenished.

i can mix my own blend
This stuff is great because I can mix it so that it meets my needs. I tend to like a bit less or a bit more depending on the length of my rides or the daily temperature and this product meets my needs. Plus, the ingredients are not toxic like some of the products that pretend to be performance beverages. If I am going on a long ride, I make packets to pour into water that I buy along the way and this is another great feature. Lastly, the price is right and I can get it delivered to my door. So, great product, great price, and great service - what more can I ask for ... nothing.

Why the foam? Why can't it taste better?
My son said it smells like urine and taste bad...and I kind of agree with him. Can't they do better? Also, when mixed in a shaker, it is just waaay to foamy. Let it sit for 5 minutes....still too foamy.

Good powdered sports drink.
My husband and I use this for endurance training. We want this specific type of sports drink since it is the drink used on Ironman race courses (and it is suggested that you train with whatever you will be racing with...although I think the non-powdered form of this is terrible and tastes nothing like the powder). We've used this for years for triathlon and marathon and both like the taste and "result" of the drink. We like the electrolyte make-up of thIs drink and haven't had any problems with GI upset using it. One thing I like about powdered sports drink it that I can water it down if needed and I also put extra in little baggies for longer runs so I can just stop at a gas station to get water and add my sports drink powder. This product has been hard to find in some areas of the country depending on where we move so we've been ordering it online the past few times... we'll probably continue to use it for the forseable future.
