I finally found the Dream Handheld I was searching for. I started at the bottom, getting a 4K Ultra HD Game Stick to plug into my Smart TV. Then I worked my way up the ladder, R36 Max, TRIMUI SMART PRO, and the RG40XX H, always wanting more. Then I purchased this sweetie. It helped a lot that I did have all that experience of working my way up the ladder; fine tuning installed emulators, downloading more, and downloading and transferring games from other micro SD cards to put in those emulators (GEMINI helped a lot!). The screen is gorgeous, the joysticks are phenomenal, and the system is very easy to navigate. There are no pre installed games, but you can emulate PS2, N64, DreamCast, PSP, GameCube, and all the lesser systems. And also download and play Android and modded Android games. The only thing I had to do was to purchase a grip for ease of use with my big hands. I am absolutely and totally in love with this system.

Love my retroid pocket 5. Its my first android handheld. Its great for playing those old games from your childhood. Plus some switch and PC games. Would definitely recommend this to any gamers. Of course it takes sometime to set up since it doesn't come preloaded. After a few short YouTube videos it wasn't to bad to set-up. Loving my experience so far with it.

Snapdragon 865 is a very capable piece of tech in 2026 for retro gaming

This device never leaves my side. Can play tons of games.. more games than I have the time to play.. but I try. Switch GameCube ps2 3ds and everything else in between. Watched a YouTube video to get it set up and now I’m hooked. The oled screen is amazing and the battery life is too. Had to buy the grip made a world of a difference. And a boomerang case to fit it.

I bought this mainly for GameCube and Nintendo Switch and it plays both poorly. While it runs GameCube well it just feels like crap with the joysticks and the buttons I'll stick to my actual Nintendo Switch and take the refund from this to put into a Nintendo Switch 2 where I can play GameCube as well.

First off it's worth it. You want a powerful portable emulation device this is it. Spend the extra bucks and get this over the mini. Word of warning though, this device is complicated to program. Took me five hours but thankfully there's videos on YouTube to walk you through it. Second, this device isn't meant for little kids. This is no DS. This is a powerful gaming machine. I'd say 16+ age range to understand how to switch emulators and change graphics drivers not to mention how to load ROMs. Performance wise I've emulated as high as PS3 but in theory you can windows emulate PC games or Xbox as well. The shining star is the screen. OLED screen with rich colors and with 3x rendering you can turn 20 year old games into HD masterpieces.

Charges quickly and could play up till switch (less demanding titles) without issues. Only complain is the ergonomics due to the way the control sticks are positioned. Easy to travel with.

No me esperaba tanto y quede muy sorprendido, la uso en un 90% para jugar PS2 y lo hace muy bien, si no eres tan bueno usando emuladores como yo bastará con un par de videos
