Ideal for my Belfast Butler sink. The waste unit has a bowl at the bottom for catching all the water from the sink and a pull our strainer for the bits. I tried the waste that was recommended for the sink, but it was a standard waste design and it leaked no matter how much I sealed it up and even if it didn't leak it would have collected stale water inside it. This waste unit doesn't have those problems and doesn't leak. Although I did add a white plastic washer and Plumbers Mait at the bottom of the sink to make a good seal.

Does the job but is far too expensive.

Have been looking for a trap type drain for the belfast sink we have. couldnt find one anywhere not even from armatage shanks. Works great .
