I had high hopes for this device after seeing all of the positive reviews. Build quality is nice, but the DVI port on my unit is defective. Output onto my monitor results in flickering green dots in differing patterns across my screen (see associated photo). The problem is only isolated to the DVI port because the HDMI port works perfectly. Unfortunately I bought this unit to plug my MacBook Pro into my dual monitor home setup, and it will not work as intended. Will have to return.EDIT: I have changed my initial 1-star review to 4-stars due to the excellent customer service I have received. The seller agreed to replace or refund my purchase right away, and I am very pleased with how they handled the defective product. Much appreciated!

After reading other reviews I thought this might not be a good item but it turns out it works! The hdmi connection did not work with one monitor but the VGA connection worked with another monitor. This solution is still cheaper (since I already had the other 2 monitors) than buying one big one (which would not have worked with my setup).The charger/connector part with my Samsung phone works fine as well. Nothing to complain about.We will see how long it works.

The look on this product is awesome, doesn't require external power and has most of the general connections I desire presenting in various locations! However, I ordered this for a presentation where I required a VGA adapter... Sadly I realized that this did not work in front of a room full of people as I scrambled for a backup. (Worked with a direct VGA to VGA on another computer.) Not sure if this is a known quality issue, but would love any/all feedback.In summary, if you are going to purchase this awesome looking product, make sure you test ALL of the connections before use.

This adapter is really helpful for many displays. If you're like me and you find yourself always carrying your laptop around and ready to hook up to whatever is available for a presentation, this is perfect. It has a port for every imaginable hook up you'd need and has a few inch cord to the usb c to give you some flexibility. It also seems like it's durable enough to handle the on the go life. This is definitely a good tool to have in the toolbox.

I have updated my review, dropping from 4 to 2 stars after the DVI port stopped working after 3 days. I'm keeping the adapter because I primarily use VGA, HDMI, and USB, but I would not recommend this adapter if you want working DVI. (See other users complaining about the same issue).--- Initial review ---Adapter works well with my Macbook Pro. HDMI, VGA, and DVI all work (tested at 1080p, not 4K). Build quality is great -- cable is thick and well shrouded, ports seem firm. Anticipate this being great for travel, when I plug my laptop in to give talks and never know what type of cable I'm going to need. USB-A port means I can plug in my slide remote with a single adapter. (USB-A and display both work at the same time).Only reason it has 4 rather than 5 stars was that the adapter failed on one of my DVI cables. (Flashing pixels scattered across image; looks like a bad connection; unplugged/replugged multiple times). The cable only gives this behavior with my new adapter. It works fine when used with a different adapter and when plugged straight into a computer DVI port. Not sure what's bad about this particular cable/adapter combo, but since this appears peculiar to this adapter over my others, I had to knock a star off.

The USB C Hub extends my only USB C port on the Macbook Pro 13inch 2016 with significantly more ports! The adapter offers all the important connections, from a VGA connection, to connect old projectors with the device, via USB for usb hard disks, to a HDMI port. All ports work on my Macbook Pro without driver installation.

I used this with (1) XPS 13 9350 and (2) Lenovo Yoga X11 both with USB-C ports. Both have Windows 10.I have 2 Dell 22 inch monitors that I wanted to use to extend (to 3 screens including laptop screen) for document intensive work. The monitors both have VGA and DVI ports.I connected monitor one to the product with a VGA cable. I then connected monitor two to the product through its DVI cable. This product's description says that this combination (DVI+ VGA) should work, albeit cloned screens, although another reviewer says this setup works in extended mode.My configuration did not work. I could only successfully connect and display to one monitor at a time.My test results:Lenovo and Dell laptops tested separately with the same results.1) Monitor One through VGA. Successful.2) Monitor Two through DVI. Successful.3) Both monitors, one through VGA, the other through DVI. Only the DVI connected monitor worked.* I had to swap out my DVI cable due to artifacts appearing in the screen. This was a cable problem. Another similar cable did not have issues.Sorry, but I had to return the product.I'm now looking for a USB-C to 2x display port dongle given I have 2 Display Port-DVI cables. I think I found it and will be trying it out on Friday 10/5/18 when it arrives. Maybe I'll write another product review about that purchase with my setup to help another poor soul save time and avoid dead ends.Good luck!

This is a well built dongle for my MacBook Pro. My other dongle is just a USB hub but this one is more for a video/media hub. There is a VGA, HDMI, DVI, and one USB port on it. Very sturdy too!
