They will love the poems and the illustrations. These poems are highly imaginative, some are dark, some are light. So if your trying to shelter you child from themes like death, isolation or bad behavior this book isnt for you. I grew up on these poems and I find them still to this day to be incredibly fun and make my 3 year old think. She has memorised all the titles of her favorite poems. We now only ready poems at bed time because of this book.
