Kawasaki KLR 650 1987-2013 Folding Shift Lever 3/4" Longer than stock KA-8L Orange Cycle Parts

I just rode the WABDR with a party of 18 in 5 days. This lever survived 3 low speed crashes just fine, and only put a minor scratch on my crankcase (which it deflected into). The spring loaded end works and allows the lever to survive crashes quite well. The extra length made it possible for me to shift as well. I did the ride in size 12 MX boots which are huge and bulky, to the point that shifting up is impossible with the stock shifter. These made it possible.

A little confusing description. It says "1 inch longer" in one part of the ad, and "3/4 inch" longer in another. I think the 3/4 is more accurate, but for that I would give 5 stars. It is well made, fit easily to bike. If you have big feet like me, makes shifting a lot easier.

I couldn't ride my klr 650 when I first got it I wear size 9 boots but can't get under the shifting lever i moved it up but then it got harder to down shift, but when I installed this lever it got more comfortable and roomy also it's better build and quality from the OEM it fits snugly into place better than the other, it was on of the best improvements I did for my comfort, i highly recommend it.

The extended length allows for a normal shift with heavy motorcross boots . My shoe size is an average size 9. I was able to position the lever to facilitate a normal downshift and upshift.

Dropped this onto my KLR and it was a significant upgrade. Much better fit whether riding with my Forma Adventure boots or my daily riders. Smoother shifting when the lever sits in the right location, and I wear size 11 shoes. Headed off for the long haul into to Central America soon, and this will help make the ride all that much smoother. Definitely recommend!.

The shift level is really comfortable for a 6'6 guy like myself with a size 14 wide shoe. It does stick out from the stock crank case molding, which could be trouble if you lay it down on the left side and the peg doesn't fold in. Other than that I really like it and can finally wear my MX boots while riding.

Nice quality shifter easy to install. Riding boots slip right under the shifter.great for big feet. Great value I recommend this shifter for klr 650 owners nice upgrade.

Love it , with my big toed boots I can shift again .
