Hasegawa HAS QG30 Japanese Navy Carrier-Based Aircraft Set

I bought four of these sets of airplanes. I was building the Akagi and I wanted to depict the Pearl Harbor first wave attack--so these extra sets let me have 27 'Kate's, 12 with torpedoes and 15 with bombs, and then 9 'Zero's. These are small airplanes, but I like how they turned out. I was even able to fold the wings on several of the 'Kate's.

imagine a 9 piece model for a plane smaller than a penny. then realize that it has nine pieces and they are clear, and you have to build like 12 of these. Needless to say, I lost a piece or two in the carpet and even the vacuum cleaner won't ever find it. Incredibly detailed down to the landing gear, drop tanks, bombs and torpedoes. Worst part of the kit is the tail section where you have to glue them on without guides or pegs. The clear plastic means that the cockpit glass does look fantastic. All I can say is I hope you have a steady hand, a lot of patience and a magnifying glass.

Only Zeroes had acceptably sharp trailing edges. The others were not bad, but not quite as good. Some types had thick rounded trailing edges.

Great product small model just as described. Had to paint them but they were perfect. Came sooner than expected and as advertised.
