I measured aprox 7/16" diameter for the female thread diameter, and ordered a fitting for that measurement from a different brand, and it turned out to be too small and costly. I saw this brand YZMSZ at much better price and ordered a 1/2" fitting since the 7/16" from the other brand was was too small. I received it and it was way too big, and I noticed this was a common theme from reviews here and elsewhere. I almost ordered a 3/8" thread size, but then I noticed the mm measurement on the chart provided by the seller pictured above for the male inner diameter and the female inner diameter. The 7/16" measured female threaded fitting I have is attached to a 1/4" tube which I believe is where the 1/4" description comes from (the other end for the quick connect is also 1/4"). It's confusing, and I have no idea what the costly first brand I chose used for sizing, but it doubly added to my confusion. When I received the 1/4" female threading size from YZMSZ, I finally received the correct size.I was also concerned that these fittings wouldn't come with a gasket since no gasket was listed in the description, but I remembered that the 1/2" came with a gasket. However, the 1/4" did come with gaskets. I used plumbers tape on the thread and hand tightened only as tight as I could with the gasket in place inside the female threading, and voila! The fittings worked perfectly with no leaks for the 2 cracked fittings I needed to replace.Pictures attached to this review include the female thread diameter in centimeters (millimeters), also measured in inches, the gaskets for the fittings, and the new fittings installed.

I use these to adapt 1/4 line to a 1/2 inlet on water bowls. they work fine for what they are, and come with a seal in the bag. durable enough to not leak.

Female Thread size stated as 3/8" but is greater than 1/2" (ordered the 3/8" female threaded with 1/4" quick connect.

It works as expected, with no leaks. To ensure you have no leaks you should cut a fresh square end on your hose and press it in firmly. If your cut is angled you are likely to have a leak.

I have them on a 25 watt UV Sterilizer off a RO water filter. UV gets hot. These fit and seem to be well made, should hold up to the heat. It's also nice that I can see that the UV light is on through these fittings.

Product looks fine, but did not get chance to use it because I ordered 3/8", it says 3/8" on the packet, but the contents are 5/8" so returning.
